My husband lost his family business his mother and his job of 25 years in less than 6 mos. He was out of work for over 2 years we exhausted all of our savings. We had 2 kids in college and 2 in high school and 1 in middle school all the while I was working 50 to 70 hour weeks. He continued to look for work and finally found something. In the meantime my mother had lung cancer and I am her primary source of care even though she does not live with us. In the mean time my husband's brother was diagnosed with malignant melanoma and shortly after that prostate cancer. With in 6 months my husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer and was out of work again for a few months for surgery. During this time my oldest son had broken his leg and tumors were found at the break site and also his ankle. They thought he had bone cancer we went back and forth to Sloane Kettering for 3 months thank God he didn't. All this time I continued to work the 50 to 70 hrs a week. Since then my husband has found a permanent job but it does not pay very well he makes a quarter of what he made before. In the mean time my mother was diagnosed again with cancer this time of the uterus. She needed treatments and again I was the one she needed to help her through this. My overtime was cut back. My husbands sister was just diagnosed with breast cancer and had a double mastectomy just last week. My husbands father died last September of cancer also. As you can imagine all of this has put a great strain on my family and has caused some depression problems for both my husband and myself. I have had bouts of shingles several times over the last 2 years from the stress. Over the past year we have managed to make our mortgage payments As Gmac instructed us to We did this by working 50 to 70 hours a week. I was fortunate that the job I had was taken over by another company and the transition required me to work a lot of overtime. My husband's job has mandatory overtime. I just found out that My mortgage was sold to Nationstar after Gmac told me to keep up for the year and they would revisit the refi. Well we did and they sold us. They even sent us a letter stating it looked like it was time to refi. WE sent in all the info faxed them information and then they never got back to us. July 17 I got the letter saying that they sold us to nationstar. What do we do now our mortgage is due 8/1 and I don't have the money? |

I am having trouble keeping in contact with the people that said that they would help me. I was offered the help from this web site. The person that first contacted me was great compassionate and very helpful but now it is in other stages and the contact is not going well. They have left me 2 messages on my phone but I can never get anyone back again I leave messages on their office phone and no one ever calls me back I e-mail and call and don't get responses for days sometimes a couple of weeks.I was told that the mort company is dragging their feet and does not want to help because I haven't fallen behind and I am struggling every month to pay I have been working as much a 75 hours a week. I am losing this overtime and I have had to borrow money from my mom to meet the payments from my mother twice. She has very little to give and I can't borrow anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions. I am getting very tired a disillusioned. I feel like there is no place to go if I cna't get the help here. |

I also live on the east coast and it is hard for me to call so I e-mail all the time but I am not sure what the problem is. I feel like I am being ungrateful but I am at a loss as to what to do. Scott has gotten back to me and relays that other people will be contacting me. They have left me messages stating that they will call me and then I don't hear from them. I have called the office on several occasions but all I get is a machine stating that I should leave a message I do but I never hear from them. I knwo that the Holidays always pose a problem but the mort co does not care about the holidays |
