I thought I was doing the best thing for the kids by keeping the house they grew up in, their neighborhood, their friends, close to school and all of those other reasons that make no sense now. I refinanced the house to buy the X out and pay off $40,000.00 in bills she ran up. At the time I trusted the guy that was handeling my loan but now I would like to see him loose his job and walk in my foot steps. Initially my house payment was only going up about $200.00 but by the time he was done with me it was up $800.oo and I was looking at a house payment of $1,900.00. It was to late to turn back because the X was wanting her money the court was telling me I was out of time and the next thing I knew I was in over my head. I do not know how I have managed to do it this long but it has all caught up to me and now I need help. I refuse to let my house go because the X will use this in court to get the kids saying they do not have a stable home with me. Please if any one can help let me here from you. Thanks The father that will not let the house go |

I admire your willingness to fight............keep fighting the good fight....... First I do have some questions for you........... What state are you in? Who is your lender or lenders? What is your interest rate at? What type of loan is it........ie adjustable, fixed, interest only....? If adjustable when is it set to adjust? What is the current loan amount? What is the approximate value of the house?
