Know about all the real people who are suffering. What if a bunch of us, those close enough or able to make the trip, went to DC closer to the election and marched, we could get people from as many states as possible to flood the streets of DC letting everyone know this is really affecting REAL people. Hmm, I am about 3 hours drive. Anyone game? I am adding the first response from Happy Home: Hi to Leap Okay who wants to join me in a MARCH on DC???? ok who's up for it I live in Richmond and I can start to pack a Picnic Lunch!! Lets GO! We have to do it at just the right time, maybe September, enough time to get those eager politicians on the load speaker to rally to our side and bring a bunch of attention. And close enough to make them remember us after election. Anyone else interested. Come on it will be a big thing that we can do for ourselves and those like us who suffer with this terrible difficulty. NO did I say SUFFER? I meant Support one another and tell the rest of America what and who we are. With out this site, Moe, we would be very much alone. Crying in our soup. Instead, with the support of others, we make informed choices and fight for change!!!!!! |

I wish I knew how to pull something like that off. I know the truckers recently organized a protest there against the ever-rising gas prices, but again, I have NO idea how in the world they got it all together..... I would be more than willing to join the march, but my money situation being as tight as it is and so forth, I'm not sure I could do it. But my support for such a movement is there :-) I'm currently making my case known with the Presidential candidates by sending them my short film, "Predator" on CD and everyone else I can think of: the local media, major TV networks, the Associated Press, Reuters, etc., etc. even the banking industry and so forth. No responses as of yet but something has to give sooner or later!!! Sally |

"Fighting Homeowners of America" We need to start with a petition to be signed by everyone then I need help drafting this bill. We can all do this. Let's go to D.C. if we don't we won't be heard. It is time our voices become one. Farawayangel |

Fighting Protesting with a angry group of people is easy to get shot down, you know the angry mob. The idea is that to march for a resolution, to show DC how many normal average, and not so average, American's from all walks of life are affected by this. On Martin Luther King Jr. Forty years ago, 250,000 people gathered peacefully in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC to demand equal rights for black Americans. It was a watershed moment for the civil rights movement and became the most vaunted protest in American history. |

Also, I don't know how it is done, but calling the city, to discuss it with someone, I have only guesses, but I am sure it is possible, we just do it. But with a peaceful mentality, not you know, crazed. |

This is a great idea and one that I plan to initiate as soon as I get some things dialed in on the back end here. We have over 2,600 members/homeowners who can help and take part in this. I plan to do weekly new letters to our members and organizing petitions to send to our government etc. The forum has grown and so have my responsibilities to make Loan Safe a brand name in the foreclosure prevention advocacy world and we are well on our way. We must remain peaceful and purposeful but demand that our voices be heard. I will look to you all to help organize this.

Moe, We Do Need Each And Every Person Who Is Able And By Able I Mean Everyone, Because Even If They Don't March, They Can Still Assist In Some Other Area. We Need Someone Who Will Delegate. Will That Be You Moe. Will You Look In To Securing A Permit If Needed? And What Ever I Can Do I Am Happy To Do, I Better After Opening My Big Mouth. Maybe A Standard Set Of Forms And Literature, Fliers, Petitions We Can Use In Our Own Areas, Give To Friends To Use In Their Areas, Where They Live And Work, And So On, And So On, And So On... (if Anyone Is Old Enough To Remember That One.) Signs And Posters Everyone Can Access From Loansafe Site, Download And Print. This Way It Is All Uniform! I Volunteer To Help With This If You Tell Me What You Want It To Say. I Can Create A Rough Copy And Send To You For Approval. Or Maybe You Have Someone Who Does This For You. Anyway, You Just Let Me Know. Juls:d:d |

I Mean, You Probably Have People Out There Who Are Professionals, So When I Say Things You Already Do, Or Have, Of Know, Please Don't Be Shy, Say I Know, I Have, I Do. I Don't Know What Your Capabilities Are. I Am Just Looking For Ways To Help. I've Been Thinking About It For A While, And After Hearing G8tscottf's Story, I Just Did Not Want To Stand For One More Person To Have To Go Through All The Angst And Trouble, Pain And Sadness, Maybe Alone And Not Aware About Loan Safe Or Any Other Way To Help. So Frustrated Their Life Spirals Downward. I Know, We Need To Keep It In Perspective, But This Whole Mess Kinda Changes Your Pespective. Obviously, We All Have Much To Be Grateful For, Our Families, Loved Ones, Friends, And loansafe Of Course Moe But For Me At Least, I Have Moments Every Now And Then, Where I Feel Really Down, Like Crying. Then It Goes Away, And I Try Even Harder, Or Am More Inspired. In Fact, Just Before I Wrote This Thread, That Is Exactly How I Felt. Like I Just Could Not Face Another Day Of house Stuff, You Know, And All That Goes With It. But I Went On To See If I Could Help Someone Else And Now I Am Feeling More Motivated And Inspired Than Ever. And I Have To Say, I Am Pretty Motivated Normally. Hey, Moe, I Have A Great Idea. We Could Somehow Print Each Story On A Piece Of Fabric, And Make A Giant Banner Of Sorts, With All The Stories. Hmm. What Do You Think. Juls |

I was just thinking generally, about protesting, marching. I say the same fighting words. I have been sick for over a week. I found myself getting worse today, when I realized, I have been saying over and over, I haven't been this sick in years. I feel awful... Well now I feel more awful! That's where those thoughts came from. But I do believe that words are powerful. More than we know. Once they are out there... There they are. Juls |

We had a person who was lobbying for the small guy and she would ask comp lawyers ect to donate money for hotels room, gas or bus transportation. Maybe Moe know someone who Lobbys in DC? Also, rather then write our State Senators, we would show up on their door steps. Moe, how about going to Lou Dobbs on CNN with some of our stories? He is more for middle class, hard working americans. I be willing to spend some of my own money, if it would save my house, so my fourteen year grandson would continue to have a place to live. He is the only reason I purchased this Da*** house for anyways. |

I am going to start seeing what we can do. I think Chris Dodd is definitely a good place to start. I will try to contact him. I'll write something up today and call as well. Moe, can we use the site to attract numbers to our masses, which right now consists of 5 + You? 1. Leap4Juls (Juli) 2. HappyHome (TracyAnn) 3. ManicMangaManiac 4. Farawayangel 5. penniandmondo 6. NJ6487 7.? We will come up with a new thread to go to to list names. What about getting our local Congressman involved? This is the great thing us being all over the country. See you a bit later, tonight. Juli Last edited by Moe Bedard; 05-07-2008 at 08:37 PM.. Reason: added TracyAnn aka HappyHome |

Permits are approved within 48 hours but you can submit them up to a year or more in advance. The earlier you start, the better. Step2Contact the National Parks Permit Office by calling (202) 619-7225. Ask them to fax you a permit application. Step3Visit the Dcpages website for a map of the District of Colombia. Determine the protest gathering point, march route and rally area. Print the map by hitting the ¨Print Screen¨ button on the keyboard. Use a yellow highlighter to plot out the different protest points on the map. Step4Call the National Parks Permit Office again; Ask them for the availability dates on the gathering location, march route and rally point. Once they have confirmed availability, proceed to fill out the entire application. Step5Make sure to specify the estimated number of people participating in the protest and the main contact person. That person must sign and date the application. Step6Make a copy of the application and the highlighted map for your records. Step7Mail the original application and highlighted map to: National Parks Permit Office, Room 128, 1100 Ohio Drive Southwest, Washington, District of Colombia 20242. Step8Wait about a week for a National Parks Agent to call. This agent will be specifically assigned to your organization for the permit application process. Have the agent give you her direct extension for further questions and information. Step9Provide the agent with any additional information he may need to approve the permit. Ask him to fax you the approved permit immediately and mail the original back to you. Step10Start campaigning for participants with your permit in hand. The National Parks Permit Office will take care of notifying the District of Colombia Police and other city organizations that require special events notification. It's that simple! |

Thanx Tracyann, sorry to take so long, I have been busy, 4th grade Mother's Day celebration. The kids made the most beautiful cards, and 4 poems written to Mom, by them. tears pool in my eyes... Then I spent the rest of the day and nite, making metallic fringe skirt and wig, for my little girl, who is in the talent show, as is my son, tomorrow. Your ideas are so fantastic!!!!!! We really have to talk. My email is in my profile. You are amazing! My sister has an embroidery business, they also do the screened t shirts. We'll talk! Good Luck with the Mod. I too am working my bum off trying to get results with my home. |
