GREAT Video: Paramount Equity Mortgage Doesn't REALLY Pay For Your Appraisal!

Paramount Equity Mortgage is headquartered in Sacramento, California and was fined by the Washington State Department of Financial Institutions for, among other things, deceptive radio ads featuring owner Hayes Barnard promising that he'll pay for your appraisal.  This video illustrates the reason why you should be very careful when a company promises that they are paying for your appraisal.  You can rest assured, YOU are paying for your appraisal friends.

I would get a mortgage from Brandon and Cliff in a flash.

The radio ads that they refer to in this video resemble exactly the same radio ads that the Washington State Department of Financial Institutions referred to in their Statement of Charges, calling them "deceptive" and "False Advertising" and in violation of the "Mortgage Brokers Practices Act" (RCW Ch 19.146).  They nearly lost their license to practice mortgage brokering in the State of Washington, and still may if they receive additional complaints.

IF YOU have a mortgage originated by this company and live in Washington State, they probably owe you some money.  Don't waste another moment, file your complaint and get restitution.  They made millions of dollars in fees that they fooled people into signing for at rushed closing appointments where toxic documents were passed quickly under your pen with casual chatter to distract your attention away from what you were signing.  

You probably had a "closing hangover" when you realized that you signed up for a pre-payment penalty, more fees than you thought, surprise balloon payments...  Oh yes.  They are really saving their neighbors money.
