looking for help

I am looking for some information on helping a friend .
He has a loan with ocwen .He went into a fourbarance agreement about a yr ago with them .Due to health and IRS issues he was unable to mae payments .everything was ok till about this dec 2007.They stopped taking his payments .He has tried to get to a person and never can get through .Everytime he calls the automated system he keeps giving him a different amount .he has been sick about .Then on 3/10 he gets a forelclosure notice .He has been trying to get thru to some there for the past couple of months to find out why they have returned his payments.He finally went to an attorney on the 3/13 they have given him an option of filing for chapter 13 .they say it will stall everything .and finally get the information he has been trying to get from ocwen .Does anyone know how to get to the right person at ocwen ?...He is getting sick over this ..not sleeping or eating ..I want to help him in any way I can ...please

It is nice that you want to help, but.....
In this situation you would need to have your friend join the forum so we can offer advice. Since it is your friends loan the lender will want to speak with him.

You also might want to have him try HOPE at 1-888-995-HOPE or NACA at Bostonian of 2007, these non profits can help with the communication with the servicer. With Ocwen it is going to be hard, as they are being investigated by the Feds and HUD for abusive servicing tactics.
So have him try both above right away.........they may be able to help......

We find that we are significantly better able to offer advice if we are able to post directly to the party that is having the problem, they are privy to the circumstances and terms of their loan. Given that we are better informed and not in a whisper down the alley mode.
