Indymac modification question

I fell behind by a couple of payments and called Indymac trying to be proactive and they suggested I submit a loan modification package in June 2009. I recieved a trial payment period offer. I have paid all three payments as agreed and got a phone call from Indymac telling me that I need to make a fourth payment that they are still working on my modification. I made the fourth payment and called a customer service rep and he told me on the notes it said"will call customer to discuss payment options". What does that mean? I emailed some people from the blogs that were suggested and got immediate responses. Ms. Mann told me it said on my file I will recieve a package in 7 to 14 days. Mr. Friedman told me he would get someone to reach out to me. It has been a few days and havent recieved the package and have not been contacted. If anyone has any advice please let me know.

Indy Mac customer service people do not correspond with each other. You can call one day, and hav e them document what happened with your account. You can then call tomorrow, and they will have nothing. I have been dealing with them for about 5 years now, and I have found not to trust them! You must call the modification center at 1-866-346-6334. They are located in Austin Tx. They seem to be the only number we called that got us anywhere. They keep their facts straight. Do not call the 800-731-7399. They are idiots. We received a modification from Indy Mac after missing three payments. We were never late on a payment for the 35 years we've been married. But, we were told by them that they would help us only if we were delinquent. This is true, they did. We were able to cut our payment by $1000 and defer some of our principal to the end of the loan. We have a 3% rate for 5 yrs.with a 5.25% cap on the life of the loan. The person on our mod letter is Brandon Latman, First VP of IndyMac Mortgage services. Try the phone number. If they need more info, they will ask you. We had ours submitted by HUD after we tried, and heard nothing. We started in April before we were late, and received the mod on September 1. Good Luck to you!

Re: Indymac modification question

Does anyone know how long it takes for this modification? I have completed the three month trial period and just paid a fourth month. Everytime I call they tell me I should be getting something in the mail in 7 to 14 days. Supposed to be by the 23rd of October.
