they denied my HAMP loan mod

any one up there I need input badly

My lender denied my HAMP loan mod because my income is too high $1200 to qualify. My lender said I have surplus income $1200,so I am not qualified .

So I told them there must be some error and I will double check my income and expenses and resubmit .In the beginning my case taken over by executive specialist.

I thought If I have more surplus income the more qualified and with front end PITIA 54%. The surplus came from I reduced very sharply my expenses that is why the surplus $1200.

My total income is $ 5600 and total expense is $4163. - --- 5600-4163= $1437( surplus )

My front end is $ 53%
My back end is $74%

My loan amount is $ $548.000 and my newly increased payment is $2678 from interest only payment $1889

Here is my questions by adjusting my expenses I can bring to total expenses $6174 ( attach proof of expenses ) making It deficit $580 instead of surplus$1200. It makes front end 53% and back end %110%. Is it acceptable this range for loan mod??? some one just suggest me how to go by I need help very badly

thank you in advance
