Their immune systems shut down, they get sickly, severely depressed, sometimes suicidal. I know I have suffered (still am, to a degree) but this website has eased the tension. For me, It was a life saver to find this site. It has put some of the control back in my hands, and put hope back in my heart. Imagine the millions of people who have no computers, no internet, or they simply haven't found this site yet? Imagine their desperation and hopelessness! Imagine how alone they feel! Posting is therapy, but it is also helpful. The more "words" and "phrases" we type in these threads on this site, the more "words" and "phrases" are googlable (is that a word?). The more people will find this site that way. Let this be an "official" Thank you to Moe, Poppy and all the wonderful moderators on this site. You guys have no idea how much you help people. Not just to keep their homes, but to give hope. Hope is VERY powerful!!

We (me & dh) are keeping this problem to ourselves and it is very difficult. Our kids have noticed that things are very different now, but they are on a need to know basis-and they don't need to know! You have to take time and relax, do some meditation, exercise, read, whatever clears your head.

| Re: What about the effects of stress on everybody? My advice is to develop a fairly sideways sense of humor about this whole thing, laugh guys, cause that is the best medicine in the midst of all of this mess. Find the outrageous and must humorous part of it and roar. Even if it is to name a pillow after your negotiator and choke after you get off the phone..... There are some other rather questionable methods of dealing with it....mine is to give the phone a salute after I get off...... |

With all the stress my backside has ballooned! Well, it didn't help matters any that I decided to quit smoking during all this crap.. *doh!* I caught a glimpse of myself walking by a mirror the other day and I said "Dang!! what is that behind me??" lo and behold... It was my own butt.
