WF Update - HELP NEEDED QUICK

Hi,
So I was laid off in Feb w/severence that runs out in 2 weeks. I sent in my HS letter and financial info in June. They just called and said I need to provide them an 'updated HS letter' to reflect my current situation as well as recent bank statements to AGAIN show my unemployment pmt deposits etc. My situation has not changed since I sent my original HS letter in but they said they still needed me to do this.

Is is necessary to re-create a whole new/different HS letter or is it acceptable to basically say: "This is a follow-up per your request....my situation remains unchanged except that I actually lose severence in 2 weeks...still unemployed...still want to work with WF to come up with a plan to allow me to keep my home....attached is a copy of my bank statement... blah blah blah."?

They also told me this was their 2nd call and I only had till tomorrow noon to get this faxed in. I KNOW they did not call a first time b/c it is just me and the husband in the house and he never took a call. I also checked back in my phones call history and nada...so I am kinda annoyed but I digress...they just said it needed to be there by noon or they would close the case. Any advise?

Re: WF Update - HELP NEEDED QUICK

WF asked to resend my hardship letter after ~3 months. I just updated the date, signed it again and faxed it over. I think it's just record keeping..

Re: WF Update - HELP NEEDED QUICK

I agree with "ugh" - it's a record thing. Be sure you are keeping records, date and time you called, agent you spoke to, results of the conversation, of course copies of everything sent/received (including fax transmittal receipts). WF is notorious for "oh, we never received it" - and then guess who starts all over again? After I faxed things, I would call 1 hour later and they can tell if it's in the system by then or not, and you can then have a small piece of mind that somebody over there said they received it! I am currently contesting the WF crooks that foreclosed on our home, and I've been told that my impeccable recordkeeping may save our home. One thing they did over and over, is not get our financial data correct. I'd put down one number, and they'd be using a different number. So if you want to stay on top of things, fax the repeat HS letter, call them an hour later, and go over with the rep on the phone the financial data you reported. You've gotta try to stay one step ahead of them.

I wish you and your husband all the best, not only with your WF dealings, but with your personal hardship you are encountering.

Re: WF Update - HELP NEEDED QUICK

Others are correct. I just had Wells Fargo deny our modification request today because they said that I was not responsive to their requests for information even though I faxed the documentation they requested over and over again -- within hours of them requesting it. I also have it on the records that they say they tried to contact me on numerous occasions but they never have. I have my work phone number down and when I leave at the end of the day I transfer all of my phone calls to my cell number. So I know that they have never called. They are a bunch of crooks in my opinion.

Thanks all for replying!
I basically updated slightly my HS letter and provided my bank statements and unemployment letter again as they requested and will do as you say and fax with a follow-up call to ensure they got it.

Re: WF Update - HELP NEEDED QUICK

What else is new???????

They deny loans for being current, not current, having a deficit, having a surplus, not answering calls, calling too much.....Anything else?
