You know, I've been on this forum for almost 2 weeks now, and it deeply saddens me to see all the WF shenanigans that continue. How they have drug us around for 6, 7, 8, 9 months at a crack, never knowing if we can keep our homes or pack our bags. I'm completely fed up. My husband and I have just started our own legal battle in the courts with WF. But who says we can't expose WF in another fashion? Mandy, another member here in this forum, suggested contacting a newspaper. That's a good idea! Or how about 20/20? So I'm going out on a limb here... I've set up an alternate e-mail address at . Anyone with a WF horror story to share, please e-mail it to me, be sure to include your real name and contact info. At the end of 2 weeks, I'll see how many stories I got, and I'll get in touch with you all regarding who we want to publicly "tell" our stories. Individually, in WF's eyes, we are small. Collectively, we are large in number! I'll keep all your info confidential, I promise. And when you send me your story, I'll reply back with my contact info also. But really, somebody has to come forward and start a group of complaints to get anything really done here. I've often wondered why God is allowing this trial on us... maybe it's so that I can reach out and organize us to fight? Who knows. But, if there's little to no participation, I'll get the picture! So gather your facts, get it in an e-mail, and lets see where this takes us!! |

MaMel, Thanks for your participation and I appreciate your motivation to take care of business with Wells Fargo. But since this is an anonymous forum and we don't know who you are and you don't know who is out there, we have to refrain from publishing emails etc. There are just too many scams out there. I suggest that people tell their stories here and then I can organize the emails, full names , loan numbers etc in 2 weeks if needed be.

If we need to keep things anonymous, how will you know how to contact us? That was my thought behind setting up the alternate e-mail address, but I respect your stand on anonymity and protection for all of us. I can't remember, when I registered, did I give my personal data? Well, just let me know, I'd be glad to be the first to post their story, in hopes that others follow. I'd posted in a thread of my own weeks ago, but I'll re-do it here if it's what you need. I'll need to keep certain things confidential, because of the litigation we are currently involved in with the courts, but I'll tell what I can! I'm thankful for your site, and the many homes that have been saved from the grasp of the banks because of it. But there are so many more that are losing their homes, and their hopes. Sometimes you need to shout from the rooftops to be heard. Thanks for taking over my quest for a voice in the wilderness! |

I did a web search just now for "wells fargo" and came up with these 2 recent articles. Seems as though a fella in Florida has initiated a class action lawsuit against WF. Apparently his home was in foreclosure, and he paid all the "fee-fee-fees" to reinstate, and is now going after them because of the nonsense fees. Paste this link into your browser and read on: Class action status OK'd for suit against lawyer in Wells Fargo cases - Breaking News - Business - MiamiHerald.com And then I saw this! Apparently WF is making a little cha-ching off of these "fees" -- enough so that they have issued a new round of bonuses! Past this link and read on: Wells Fargo increasing executives salaries - Breaking News - Business - MiamiHerald.com Will the greed ever cease? |

Here we go again, they live very well and without any financial problems. Yesterday when I called the office of the executives, that person was very rude. No wonder, this person did not get a bonus..... We should all write to the CEO and congratulate him and ask him what is he going to do with the money..... |

This whole process is a joke and out of control. You know someone is making the money, and if that is WFB's plan is to due that with these misc. fee's then we all need to get together and dig up the facts and put it in front of the rest of the american people. This cant keep on going the way it has been.Lets all work together to turn it around. |

We have been through nothing but nonsense with Wells Fargo. Each time we call (which is weekly) the person tells us something different. We have submitted all paper work several times and all we get is it is in review and we should hear shortly. Nothing takes this long to either deny or work out a solution . We were told you must be current which we are but hearing some of the stories they won't help you if you are current. The way they treat people is un acceptable. If you are assigned a negotiater why can't you speak to the same person or at least a negotiater instead of the standart 2 or 3 answers from the people who answer the phone. I think they have a cue card with several non meaning answers. So you hear something different each time. Pretty amazing. My second mortgage I sent a letter request modification and received an answer right away and they reduced my payment to half, lowered the interest rate for the remainder of the loan. So why does it take Wells Fargo so long to reply? Sick and tired but will not give up. |

WFB continues to make the problem worse with there delaying the process.Crazylady says she was approved for a Mod. with her second mort. but who would pay that without knowing what WFB is going to do? You could be throwing money out the window with WFB's uncertainty? There dragging there feet policy just prelongs the hole we are all in and effects others to like our second mortgages. |

I just got a call fromthe negotiater which stated that she will call me tomorrow but looks like they most likely will deny us because we make to much money. They only take in in cosideration of the 1st mortgage which is wells fargo. They do not count the second or your other bills you pay monthly. So why do they make you send them a worksheet of all your expenses when they do not care about them? Also they try to get you to add your taxes and escrow fees but do not guarantee that you will get a modification. Once you add your taxes and escrow fees it cannot be reversed no matter what their decision is so be cautious. Another way for them to make money off of you. So then your payment would go up higher with added taxes etc. Guess next step would be to short sale if they are not willing to work with us. If you add all your assets and debts , if your debt is more than your assets you pay no taxes on the short sale is what I was told. But you should probably clarify with a professional on that. 6 months of non sense for nothing. Wow. Wish Suntrust would of not sold the loan to Wells Fargo. Suntrust was a dream to work with and gave us a modification with no hassle. |

Another web search on WF turned up this article... check out the chart on the numbers of eligible HAMP loans, and what WF has actually DONE. Crazy. Meager mortgage modifications overshadowed by mounting foreclosures I just don't get it. |

My loan is with HSBC, and I haven't been able to get a loan modification, either. That aside, here is my observation: I live in West Des Moines, IA, which is where the home office of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage is located. I have never seen anything on the local news or in the newspaper about any type of protest or gathering at their office. Maybe it's time to get some people together and show displeasure. |

In a nutshell, what every one else experienced is what we experienced. As of today, the foreclosure sale has been postponed without a future sale date and we are now headed into the loan modification stage. We almost didn't get this far. They strung us along for months. The only way we survived this long was through prayer, persistence, and the amazing counselor at Auriton.org (got connected with them through HPF - Foreclosure Prevention Counseling at 888-995-HOPE). The only way to survive this is to have a third party advocating on your behalf. My husband and I took a week off from work. Every document they requested I faxed it back to them immediately 7 times back-to-back (I have a fax machine at home). Sign the bottom of every page you send them and make sure your loan number is on each page as well. Once we were connected with a counselor, we did not speak to Wells Fargo without calling her first and she would conference call them. If they said to call back the next day, we called back in two hours until we got the answer we needed. It's imperative to not accept "no" as an answer and when we did get a "no", the counselor consistently asked for someone in a different department because the same person never answered the phone with the same information. We were down to 3 days before the sale date and they kept stringing us along. The counselor let us know that they will ask for a down payment so we started scrambling to get as much money together as we could. Two days before the sale and we were still waiting for the amount of the down payment. We were able to do $2600 immediately or $3700 the next day when my husband got paid, which was also the date of sale. We continued to call back every two hours and let them know each time how much we could do. The night before the sale date, the person we reached was emailing the "decision maker" as we were telling her how much we could do. The girl got the figures wrong and told her we could do $4700. Suddenly, WF decided the magic number was $4700 and they needed it immediately to stop the sale. Our counselor was relentless and refused to give up and explained that it was their employee that got the numbers wrong. WF refused to budge and said it needed to be done as a bank draw from our checking account within the hour because their offices were closing and she wanted to go home for the day. Our counselor ended the call. Our counselor then told us to get some sleep because we were going to start again at 6am (PST) the day of the sale and that we needed to get together as much cash as we could and have it sitting in our bank account ready to be withdrawn for the next morning. She said she had done this before with other lenders but made no promises. The next morning the counselor called us and we had $3700 sitting in our account. We started calling and within 20 minutes she was able to navigate us through the WF phone system from hell and got us to someone who could make a decision. Just as we were about to hear the verdict, the call dropped! Our counselor started the calling process all over again and she kept at. One person actually told us that the notes had been updated to reflect that they will not be able to accept any payments at that time and to call the attorney handling the sale. It is now 5 hours before the auction! The counselor kept asking for someone else to speak to. She finally reached the person who told us "no" the night before. Once she heard we had $3700 sitting in our account ready to be withdrawn, she changed their tune and stopped the sale. They set up the withdrawal and we ended the call. We scheduled a follow up call with the counselor to begin working on the loan modification process. Once we hung up, there was a voicemail message from the dropped call from WF. The woman actually called us back and said that they would except the $3700. While she was leaving us that message, several others at WF were telling us it was too late. There's so much more that happened that I can't even get it all down. One WF employee actually LIED and said they did not receive any of my faxes. I jumped in and said, "You must have it. I faxed each document to you 7 times". She then paused and said, "Oh. Was your last document 10 pages long?" On another day during that week, my husband was waiting for the WF employee to read all of her notes, but she failed to put him on hold. In the background he could hear another WF employee telling a person, "I understand that you faxed it but we have no record of receiving any of your faxes." Another WF employee told us, "We post-poned your sale date 4 months in a row. We are NOT allowed to do it again." During those 4 months, we were in bankruptcy. We had no idea they did not stop the sale date but kept rescheduling it! We were not allowed to begin communications with them until we were discharged. By the time we were discharged, we only had two weeks to work out a modification before the sale date. My advice to others: try your hardest to carver out a few days to just handle this mess and focus on nothing else. Call 888-995-HOPE and get connected to a counselor. It's a long process, but if you want to save your home, get ready to fight for it. These not-for-profit organizations have received government money to help us and they actually are doing it. I'll keep you all posted on the loan modification process. Thanks for creating this forum. It's comforting to know it's not just us. |
