Litton Help

A friend of mine was going thru a workout plan/modification with Litton..The paperwork from Litton stated as long as the representations in section 1 were accurate that her loan WOULD be modified (the representations were the standard ones such as "i'm unable to afford my mortgage, I live in the property, no change of ownership, income documentation, etc"...so she sends it in along with her first payment of $1100. 2 days later she gets a letter stating that her workout was rejected...after hours of multiple phone calls and different answers from different people (shocker)...they stated to her that the investor determined that she didn't have enough net equity to meet their requirements of a modification...(the initial workout plan never stated that this could happen)...Bottom line is that they now won't help her and she is willing to make a monthly modification payment that is just as high as her initial mortgage payment.....what can be done?

Re: Litton Help

One section of our trial modification offer says that upon receiving and verifying our income documents, "You might not qualify for the modification."

I make sure that I document every time I call Litton---the date, who I spoke to, my questions, and what answers I received. Needless to say, if you speak to three different people, you will end up with three different answers.

When phone calls to Litton fail to give me the answers I need, I compose an email and send it directly to llitton@littonloan.com. Include the loan number as well as a phone number that you can be contacted at. I've had to do this twice and I've received a return call from the executive resolution team within hours of sending the email. Maybe doing this will give your friend the answers that she's looking for.

Re: Litton Help

Thanks, I told her about it and she sent them a giant email....i also found the property already listed in the sherriff sale log for July, the sale was cancelled...I called the attorney and they said they are trying to re-schedule for October...My friend states she has never received anything regarding a sale and that they haven't even foreclosed on the home yet!!
