I would like to share my story to see if anyone else has had the same problems. I won't go into all the details, I will give the short version. We were one of the unfortunate families that believed what we were told. We have owned our home for 15 years and never had a problem till we needed to refinance to get rid of a second mortgage after my husbnd lost his job and had to have two hip replacements and myself became permanetly disabled with MS. In July 2007 we went into foreclosure with AMC our world came to an end till we went to NACA. We worked out a payment plan with AMC till Dec 2007. Jan 2008 AMC sold to Citibank. Naca started working with Citibank. This continued the battle with Citi for 14 months they had us jumping through hoops with paperwork. On Dec 2008 Deutche bank sent us an auction date. Naca and Citi said not to worry and stopped it. In Feb we thought we were just about at a deal with Citi they were just waiting on escrow we were told. At this point we were told by Citi that our loan was now with AHMSI. Naca told us no problem give it a few weeks that was in March. Our councilor Madeline Vega that we could call and worked with at Naca left we weren't told anything except we had to go through the 800 number. Naca had to update our file for AHMSI cause everything was so old. Our paperwork has been with AHMSI and we are still in limbo. I spoke to the NACA 800 number yesterday and was told it can take weeks to months. Anyone had similar problems? Still hoping and praying we can stay in our home. Thanks townie271 |

I have personally seen a few situations that were quite similar to yours. You are in a very stressful situation as your servicer has sold your loan twice.. Each time they sell the loan its pretty much like starting the process over again.
