AZ Help For Homeowners Community Event

Just received this in the mail:
Quote:
The U.S. Department of the Treasury and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development invite you to a Help for Homeowner's Community Event Friday, July 31 and Saturday, August 1.

Sponsored by HOPE NOW, NeighborWorks America, City of Phoenix, and the Arizona Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Task Force

This FREE event is designed to help homeowners who may be in default or facing imminent default on their monthly mortgage payments. If you are looking for a way to make homeownership more affordable, come to this event and find out if the Making Home Affordable Program may be able to help you.

Participants will have the opportunity to talk with representatives from various mortgage companies and HUD-certified housing counselors.

HOPE NOW is a partnership between lenders and non-profit housing counselors. Our mission is simple: we reach out to and attempt to assist homeowners who may be having difficulty paying their mortgages.

NeighborWorks America creates opportunities for people to live in affordable homes, improve their lives and strengthen their communities.

The Obama Administration's Making Home Affordable Program was created to help millions of homeowners refinance or modify their mortgage payments to a level that is affordable now as well as in the future.

Friday, July 31
2:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, August 1
9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

South Mountain High School
5401 S. 7th Street
Phoenix AZ 85040

To better serve you, please bring with you to the event*:

Be prepared to provide information about the monthly gross (before tax) income and expenses of all the borrowers who signed your mortgage (for example, your spouse or a co-signer).

__ Most recent income tax return with all schedules and W-2's;
__ Two most recent bank statements;
__ Two most recent pay stubs (if you receive them) or documentation of income you receive from other sources;
__ Monthly mortgage statement showing the mortgage servicer information and mortgage loan account number;
__ Information about other mortgages on your home, if applicable;
__ Account balances and minimum monthly payments due on all of your credit cards;
__ Account balances and monthly payments on your other debts (such as student loans and car loans);
__ Estimates of other monthly expenditures (such as utility bills, food expenses, insurance payments, and entertainment expenses).

* Use this checklist to help you collect your documents, please do not bring originals, only copies of your documents.
So for anyone in the Phoenix, AZ area who has been having difficulty in obtaining a HAMP perhaps here's a chance to obtain one since the banks will be there?
