Long story short.... 2 homes (one is a rental with toxic loan), neither qualify for loan mod through Citi/FM (primary) or WAMU/Chase (rental). Both underwater and a joke to carry with now only one income to support us....NACA only available to those with one property...Strongly considering just walking-away with the help of an attorney. Been through the Mod/refi/forbearance/whatever they are calling-it-today process now with two banks and am burned-out. We received something in the mail yesturday from Genworth Financial (our PMI company on primary home) Loan workout program. Anyone familiar with this? They are asking for the typical info- income, expenditures, savings, tax returns etc.... I'm hesitant to send yet another person our naked financial/personal data and be once again, let- down if this is some fluke. Does your PMI company have the power to help in these situations? |

Never heard of this being done, and I can't imagine that the mortgage insurer would be able to push the lender into modifying a loan. It makes sense that the insurer would want you to get a modification, because if you default then they have to pay your lender. I read on a different website that WF was not offering modifications to persons with PMI, presumably because they know that they're covered if the borrowers defaults. I guess they're focusing their efforts on those without PMI. |
