I just called WaMu today and their automatic message said they are closed and transferring all information to Chase. On December 14, 2008 I faxed in my loan modification paper work and still have not received any kind of response. I have never made a late payment in my life, and am not able to make my May payment because my husband stopped paying child support. I'm a single mom, and struggling like many others out there and am just looking for some answers. My modification was sent to a negotiator and from that point on I haven't heard anything. My negotiator is incompetent, claims I haven't sent paperwork that I have sent, so I resend it and it's still not received. I don't know what to do with this situation. This month (May) will be my first late payment, the other payments were loaned to me by friends and family but I am no longer able to borrow any more money. I don't know if WaMu has ingorned me because I have been paying my mortgage on time or what, but I can't pay it on time anymore. My current mortgage rate in 6.75% on a jumbo loan ($465,000) 4 years left on interest only portion of a 30 year loan. After 4 years, adjusts to going rate. I'm just looking for insight on where I can get this going. I have read other threads about hardship letters, but I haven't submitted anything except the information they needed on the modification paperwork which summarized my situation. If anyone can give me any advice, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! ----Kahlua |

The information regarding the MHA program and the numbers to contact can be found here in this link........... https://www.chase.com/chf/mortgage/hasp They should be able to look up your info to give you an update on your file..........since the information that you had faxed in is now over 60 days...........in order to be considered for the new program which recently got underway, you may need to update that information.

Still no response. Like many others on this forum, I am looking for a way to speed this process up. I have been waiting 5 months already. I already have a application for a loan modification submitted, and all that link tells me is, "Your existing loan modification application will be reviewed to see if there are any new work out options based on eligibility criteria under the new Homeowner Affordability and Stability Plan. One of our loan counselors will be in contact with you to discuss your options." I have heard this a billion times already. Have they not processed my application because I have not been late on any payments? |

I am sorry.............I must have misunderstood your post................I thought that you were looking for a number to contact Chase because you were told by an automated message that WaMu is now transferred to Chase and closed...............that is what the number goes to, Chase...........so that they can get you to the right dept. that is taking care of your modification file........... 1-866-550-5705 If this was the number that you had been using............try contacting the Homeowner's Assistance instead....... 1-800-446-8939
