So then I asked when I should expect a NOD or Trustee sale date (1st missed payment 1-1-09) and he said since I had fannie mae that that any forclosure process is put on hold. Is this true??? I thought I had heard something like this before but last summer or so. |

I would not plan on a halt of Foreclosure from Fannie and Freddie. I also would not rely on the New Obama plan either. Your best bet is to call Wells and say" Do you want this house back or are we going to get going on a Modification to make this work for both of us?" At least thats what I intend for my conversation to be with them tomorrow. I will let you know how it goes. Way to much run around from Wells Fargo from what I read on this forum from other people dealing with them as well as my own experience. If they say you don't qualify for a Mod you Say "The key's will be on the kitchen counter, come and get em" Good Luck ( to both of us)! |

They seemed adamant they cannot start to foreclose while they are reviewing it. let me know what they tell you....... |

It's another dept that handles that, one that doesn't even know you have a Mod request in progress. It's like the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing scenerio. Be alert and don't trust what they say, just what they send you in writing as far as your actual loan mod.Talk is cheap. What concerns me is they say it's 45-90 days to review it and then your in serious default in the mean time. Remember the sirens go off after 90 days .The moratoriums for foreclosures of Fannie & Freddie were lifted March 31st so it's back to business as usual in the foreclosure BIZ. Being our time line is the same with the same bank we should keep each other updated. What state are you located? |
