What is suspicious is, the envelope did not have their return address, no company letter head on the letter, and their figures are wrong, however obtained through public records.(so they state) Of course they are willing to modify my loan. I have not ctcd them yet- and will for clarification on their part, but wonder if this is a scam, where would they be reported? Thanks for helping!

Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | Re: Questionable letter Amy I am sorry........that company is a scam so I had to remove the name.........they get your information from public records and there is a crackdown happening currently over the scams that are trying to sound like they are affiliated with the new government program, government agencies or with the HOPE agency...........it is sad that these companies feel the need to scam vulnerable homeowners for their financial gain............ here is the article link to the efforts curbing this practice and also you can file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission from the article under the tab "Consumer Protection" file a complaint.
