Has anyone filed the IRS Form 982 to offset a short sale? - Loan Modification Forum

This thread was created for those of you that have completed a short sale on an investment property. I was wondering if you have successfully filed a Form 982 to offset any deficiency or 1099 that may have been issued by your lenders.

Can you share with us how that works and what it did for you?
