Short Sale Attempt - Loan Modification Forum

Hey all,
We're thinking that a short sale is prolly the best way to go at this point. We're upside down about $150k (N.Cali) and our situation just got tenuous with daycare, and unrelated legal bills. We're going to go with a mediocre (but the best) offer that came after 1 weekend of MLS listing.

It's pretty depressing, but we're probably paying an xtra $700/mo that we could be putting to our newborn's daycare or the legal stuff we have to deal with.

The servicer is Guild Mortgage, a small company in San Diego and they are really hard to get a hold of. I'm hoping they will accept this deal and then we can all just move on.

I'll post every so often in the next few months and let you all know how it's progressing (or regressing).
