My mortgage is serviced by Countrywide and Fannie Mae is the investor. After more than 90 days Countrywide finally approved the sale and sent the paperwork to Fannie Mae for the final approval. Countrywide initially claimed that the standard time frame for investor approval was 7 – 14 days but they would expedite the process due to several mistakes on their end in dealing with my paper work. Fannie Mae has had the paperwork now for over 30 days. Countrywide claims they are escalating but I still don't have an answer. Is there anything I can do personally to escalate with Fannie Mae?ffice |
