My house almost got foreclosed about a year ago or more, and I had to take out money from my deferred comp (for my retirement), about $11,000 to cover the money that I was behind in, attorneys' fees, and to catch up on other bills I got behind on. National City Bank closed my direct deposit checking account instead of my savings account that I asked them to close and about 14 checks or more bounced. I didn't find out about their negligent mistake until it was too late and I was so far behind. I got so behind in everything, including my house. I was sent a foreclosure notice in the mail which is a very sickening feeling. But, I did get most things caught up, but not everything. I retired from my state job of 35 years which cut my paycheck almost in half and I only get one paycheck a month now. It was three months before I finally got a check. I'm single and live from paycheck to paycheck even while working! Well, I got behind in everything again. I called Homecomings (which they are almost impossible to get through to) in November to try to work some kind of refinancing or loan modification done so I could get a house payment I could afford. Its now April and I still don't have anything writing about what's been going on. They had someone come out and appraise my house in December and I haven't heard anything on that either. They also told me they could not tell me what my house appraised at even though I paid for the appraisal. My credit score is very low right now because of all of this mess and I can't get anyone to refinance me because of the low credit score. I've been trying really hard, but it seems I'm stuck with Homecomings whether I like it or not. I'm trying to make the payments as best as I can, but it gets harder each month. Can anyone give me some advice on what to do, or if there is any company out there that can help me? What about this FHA Secure loan thing that's coming out? HELP ME PLEASE!!! |

We do have a success with Homecoming Financial in the Success Section and several people working with the parent company GMAC..... Have you tried contacting HOPE at 1-888-995-HOPE......Homecomings is working closely with them and they might be able to help you get things moving along a bit quicker......and can help you with the process of the Loan Modification as a third party if you feel it something that you don't want to tackle on your own.....

We tried to refi with them in June of 06 and they really just gave us the run around, we paid for the appraisal and then it didn't appraise our at what they wanted it to, we had a 2yr fixed with them and wanted to pay off about 8k in CC debt...well needless to say we not able to refi they told me we would have to have 10k cash to do it..hello I wanted to pay off 8K if I had that kinda money I would do it myself. Be very careful about there modifications also we were offered one in Dec. of 07 and were told that it was only going to lower our rate and fix it for 5yrs but they didn't apply any of the payments that we made during that time to our acct. they put them in a suspense acct. and we went 90day past due, then they hit us wit a $2500 bill the first month out and it was supposed to be $1500, we are now facing forclosure with them and I can't get through to anyone on most days. I am at a loss of what to do, we have been trying to work with the HUD counselor that is local to us, and he is lacking in all ways, we have an appt with a BK attorney on the 22nd and have no idea what is going on. Good luck to you, I hate that company. |
