| Refinance Looking to refinance your mortgage? Learn what loan products are still available from lenders and what mortgage is best for you. |
This is a discussion on Citimortgage Contacts within the Refinance forums, part of the Home Loan Section category; Their Loss Mitigation department is cleverly titled "Workable Solutions Dept." That remains to be seen... Workable Solutions Fax 301-696-4473...

My first and second are with Citigroup (1st with CitiMortgage and 2nd with CitiFinancial). I've talked to CitiFinancial about my 2nd and they are willing to work something out with me, BUT they have to wait for the 1st (CitiMortgage) to agree to a loan modification. I'd like to know if ANYONE has had a favorable experience with CitiMortgage? They are calling for payment, but when I ask about the modification request made by HOPE NOW, they won't give me any information, they just want payment. Any information will certainly help! |

In the success stories....Echo2.....just had a very good experience with Citigroup and on a HELOC which is very difficult to get modified. Below are the email addresses that she used.....send your hardship letter to each one of them.......it won't hurt....... you can read Echo2's experience in the successes.... Also the non profit Naca is working with Citigroup on helping people......it does depend on what state you are in but contacting them won't hurt either..... https://www.naca.com/index_main.jsp Hope this helps......

| Re: Citimortgage Contacts Welcome to the forum and thank you for posting... The department that is incessantly asking for the payment is the collection department, you need to get into the Loan Retention or Loss Mitigation Department to determine the progress of your modification. Collections has one function, get your MONEY. They are not geared to answer anything expect where do you send your money.... So...please call into Citi and get the number for Loss Mit or Loan Retention and call them and determine the progress of your modification. Also call the HOPE consultant that you are working with and get status from them. This is a daily phone call to both parties to determine the status, this is a second job for you and you have to stay on top of it or it will slip through the cracks....please start calling Monday with that goal in mind. This is the call, call, call and fax, fax, fax formula, the squeaky wheel gets the grease one... You must stay on top of this, you have to contact HOPE and Citi daily to determine the status, I can not minimize that need. |

After a very frustrating experience going through the India call center, I found out that because my loans are both conventional, the packet was sent to St. Louis. Two hours later I got a call from a very nice Loss Mitigation Prospector from the good 'ole USA. She informed me that she only represents our second loan (both 1st and 2nd are from Citi) and that we are great candidates for a loan mod because our surplus income is about two hundred bucks/month and that most likely we would get a long term rate reduction. She asked if I would like to hold off on proceeding with this mod until I hear from the Citi person facilitating the 1st loan. I told her that we should proceed with the additional paperwork and that a final decision re: any modification would be made once we take both loans into account. Here is the phone number of this Citi Loss Mit Dept in St. Louis/O'Fallon, MO: 636-261-7533, fax: 866-704-8050. So now I have to submit tax returns and bank statements. I'll keep you updated. I feel optimistic for the first time in all of this!! Thanks, Moe!!!!! |

We are fortunate to have the Success Stories starting to accumulate like the fallen snow here at LoanSafe. ASC, CITI, Option One, etc...while no two situations (like snowflakes, sorry - it's still winter, ok?) are alike, it's good to see others having success with similar lenders. Good luck! |

I talked to a very nice lady at HOPE NOW last week who told me I had a good chance for a loan modification. She indicated she would send me an email with the same information she would be sending to CitiMortgage requesting the modification. To date I have not received the email. I have tried several phone numbers for the loan modification folks at CitiMortgage. I think I have a good one 866-450-3173 extension 52802, BUT the person's voicemail box is FULL. Have to keep trying to reach a "live person". | Re: Citimortgage Contacts Thank you for joining and welcome to the forum.... I really hope that you can get back on your feet, in order to obtain loan forbearance or modification they do require an income. Have you spoken to HOPE yet about having a hardship and getting some assistance from them in speaking with your lender? They are a non-profit and free 888.995.HOPE also there is ACORN ACORN: Home, they too are a non-profit organization that may be able to assist. |
