Mr. Gore is poised to become the world’s first “carbon billionaire,”

Maybe this is why he has been hammering global warming down our throats for years?

The deal appeared to pay off in a big way last week, when the Energy Department announced $3.4 billion in smart grid grants. Of the total, more than $560 million went to utilities with which Silver Spring has contracts. Kleiner Perkins and its partners, including Mr. Gore, could recoup their investment many times over in coming years.



Silver Spring Networks is a foot soldier in the global green energy revolution Mr. Gore hopes to lead. Few people have been as vocal about the urgency of global warming and the need to reinvent the way the world produces and consumes energy. And few have put as much money behind their advocacy as Mr. Gore and are as well positioned to profit from this green transformation, if and when it comes.

Critics, mostly on the political right and among global warming skeptics, say Mr. Gore is poised to become the world’s first “carbon billionaire,” profiteering from government policies he supports that would direct billions of dollars to the business ventures he has invested in.

leave it to Gore to pander the fear of global warming and make millions - didn't his portfolio expand dramatically after the movie he pushed out there?

He is a rock star in this movement and he is the ex Vice President with many connections. He is very rich and will get super rich with all these new "green" things coming down the pike.

On October 14, Lord Christopher Monckton gave a presentation in St. Paul, MN on the subject of global warming. In this 4-minute excerpt from his speech, he issues a dire warning to all Americans regarding the United Nations Climate Change Treaty that is scheduled to be signed in Copenhagen in December 2009.

There has been considerable debate raised about Monckton's conclusion that the Copenhagen Treaty would cede US sovereignty. His comments appear to be based upon his interpretation of the The Supremacy Clause in the US Constitution (Article VI, paragraph 2). This clause establishes the Constitution, Federal Statutes, and U.S. TREATIES as the supreme law of the land. Concerns have been raised in the past that a particularly ambitious treaty may supersede the US Constitution. In the 1950s, a constitutional amendment, known as the Bricker Amendment, was proposed in response to such fears, but it failed to pass. Lord Monckton served as a policy adviser to Margaret Thatcher. He has repeatedly challenged Al Gore to a debate to which Gore has refused. Monckton sued to stop Gore's film "An Inconvenient Truth" from being shown in British schools due to its inaccuracies. The judge found in-favor of Monckton, ordering 9 serious errors in the film to be corrected. Lord Monckton travels internationally in an attempt to educate the public about the myth of global warming.

Norris is ripping on Obama like he's the one behind all this, that bothers me. If there is any truth to what Lord Monckton says, and I'm not saying there is or is not, it's a two party deal and it's been going on for many, many, years. Now I have to question why it's being brought up and pinned on Obama all of the sudden. Could it have something to do with a global crack-down on Wall-Street? Most likely. If our Government refuses to stop wall-street from ripping off the World, and us by the way, then I'm fine with other Countries doing it for us. Now, as far as Al Gore goes, I have never liked the guy and trust him about as far as I can spit. I've also been meaning to brush up on my Chinese, and I fault Bush quite a bit for that one. I'll say it again, it's a two party deal, lets not fault one over the other. Besides, becoming Ameri-China may be the best thing that has ever happened to us, they actually gave a Government official life in prison for taking a bribe, imagine that.

While I'm on Bush, it reminds me of a day when he had an emergency G-Whatever visit here in the U.S. as the Global Economy was crashing. I saw Bush live on National T.V. and he looked like he was going to piss his pants as he spoke. That got me thinking, what is scaring the piss out of him, I've never seen him look like that before. Then it dawned on me, maybe they where here to demand justice for ripping off all their Countries? You know, demanding justice for all of their people that got ripped off by our Government and Wall-Street? Maybe they wanted to prosecute Bush in another Country if he didn't cough up some serious cash? You know, pay it back? Maybe thats why they insisted on no accountablity for the cash Paulson was about to shell out of ours over-seas? Maybe some day we will know the truth? Maybe I'm crazy, who knows, who cares. One thing is for sure, there's nothing we can do about shit.
