Wisconsin Governor Walker has welded shut the windows of the capital building

He has actually ordered the windows of the Capital, OUR capital be welded shut.

A cancer patient needing a colostomy bag change — a medical emergency — was denied access to the Capitol building holding the patient’s medication due to a surprise lockdown that has lasted for hours past the scheduled and well-publicized 8:00 AM doors-open time Monday morning.

This patient was kept outside for 80 minutes in the cold while Walker flexed his political muscle and ordered DOA to close the Capitol during normally-open daytime business hours in order to gradually muffle the overwhelming dissent of his proposed legislation, which denies health care to many of our most vulnerable citizens, including many children, and strips unionized workers of collective bargaining rights for which people have fought and died for decades.

This is one scary Governor! So now the problem with the world wide economy are the unions? Heaven forbid a politician actually tries to create livable wage jobs, instead of getting rid of the few that remain. Union pensions are NOT causing this economic crisis. Once again the politicians want to blame the WORKING people! Is he, or the rest of the politicians, going to take paycuts and give up their pensions...or their health care, cell phones, cars, or expense accounts?
The last thing I read about this demonstration (a couple of hours ago) stated that the demonstrators were peaceful, and none had been arrested. The one who should be arrested is Governor for denying medical care!
Wait, to cut costs, we could always return to child labor....wouldn't even have to pay them minimum wage. We can call it free child care. And if they aren't going to school, look at all the money we can save on schools......

    • Meanwhile, Capitol Police staff are welding the windows shut. The lack of access to the Capitol means that food and supplies cannot be sent in to those who remain. People inside can leave the Capitol building but not return, at least for the moment. So people had been passing food and other supplies through the windows. So according to multiple witnesses, the windows are being welded shut to break down the supply line. UPDATE on this: I’m hearing that a window latch simply needed repair, and that a women’s room latch was always screwed shut. So this may not be quite so nefarious.

For person who claims the Tea party upholds the rights of the citizens to say this is quite confusing to me. This dictatorial governor is in violation of the right to the people to peacably assemble to protest!
He is also guilty of holding the people in the capitol against their will. This is called kidnaping!

Jeffrey, while I agree with you on most everything, I have to disagree with you here.

Humans forming mobs and protests can quickly get out of hand. What may start out peaceful can turn to violence and death very quickly at the drop of a pin and then the mob mentality takes over and all hell breaks loose.

Just so all of you know, I have been attacked, beaten and almost died at a concert that went bad and turned into a riot within seconds. There were kids getting beaten and my son attacked, so I was one of the ONLY men who would step up and not take it. That was a bad mistake and I almost died for it.

I have short hair and one person said I was a skinhead ( I AM NOT) and then based on that one false statement, approximately 50 people or so began to kick, stomp and beat my head and body.

With that said, I hope every governor in this country welds the windows shut in their Capitals to help keep out these mobs for trespassing and who foolishly think protesting will help their failed cause. Yes, they have a right to do protest, but maybe if they did their homework on recent history over the last 40 , it will clearly shows that this method of political activism gets you absolutely nowhere.

In addition, many humans simply do not think for themselves and are little more than programmed drones. Just FYI, that is a very dangerous person and there are billions of them walking the earth as I write this.

I'd love to see somebody walk up to the Whitehouse and open a window to pass something through. I'd like to see what happens.
