I was told that our file was "accepted" on 12/10/08 and to call back every 7-10 business days to check on status. I called back yesterday (12/29) and was told the name of my "specialist" and that she was working on the file, no other information. Can anyone tell me the next steps I should take to help move things along? Should I ask to speak with this person directly? Will I be given regular updates as to the status of the file? Just some brief background, we aren't behind on our mortgage as yet, but we are making the payment just shy of the end of each month and live in a area (Ohio) that Citi had said that they were going to concentrate on doing a number of modifications on. Several months back Citi tacked on a huge amount of escrow payments to our monthly payment. I was out of work for several months and couldn't pay house payment and taxes, and that is what's got us behind. Any numbers, email addresses, etc, that you can provide me with would be great, but please keep in mind this is Citi Residential. I got an email address from this site earlier this month and the person at that address wasn't able to help me because my loan isn't serviced at Citi Mortgage. Thanks. |

Any info that you can provide would be very helpful. Thanks. |
