Unhappy Help me ahmsi refuses to modify

Hello:

I was with Option One which then sold to AHMSI/ They started to adjust my rate after 24 months. It has gone from 6.15% to 9.75%. I asked for a loan modification because I cant pay anymore and i dont want to ruin my credit they said I have a deficit and dont qualify. They are clueless and rude and have no idea what they are doing. They are advertising falsely that they help customers but they dont. I spent three hours on the phone on the verge of tears as I attempted to explain to home retention that i couldnt even buy a present for my kids this xmas. My husband and I work full time and never had a problem paying until they started raising the interest rate. The representative told me today get the money or we will report you on the 31st to the credit bureau. Please help us!!!!

Re: Help me ahmsi refuses to modify

no, the Bk was for our first home which is a two family we have had for ten years rented out/ when our family grew we bought a SF, this is with AHMSI/ no bk involved in this one/ never late/ called them faxed all docs and they said we have a deficit/ I contacted the AG office Division of Banks, etc/ I was very mad at the representatives I spoke with all week who have no clue and will not consider lowering our interest rate to what it initially was. No lates ever on our mortgage!

akcordero......

Welcome to the forum and thanks so much for joining......was your deficit after your adjustment or before? You need to show a small surplus of $100-$250 per month after expenses to be approved for a modification.....and of course, it is up to your investor as to what they will accept. I would escalate your request and fax your hardship letter, w-2, income/expense sheet, paystubs, and bank statements to the following vp's

Jeanne Drake-Direct phone line 949-784-6011
Fax Line 866-642-4196

Jim Davis- Phone-904-996-9696
Fax-904-996-9653

Fax them your info, then follow up with phone calls.....be nice but persistent.

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!

Re: Help me ahmsi refuses to modify

Thank you. It is 11:16 p.m. and I am faxing all docs right now. We cant even buy gifts for our kids and they dont care. I have a friend in this same situation and bank of America gave her a two month forbereance (no payments and no reports to credit bureau) in order to allow time to review loan modification. I told AHMSI I have $2800 and Ill have the rest on the 29th but that means no xmas in my house. They said send it in by the 31st or we will report you.

What is this world coming to, we have never been late in more than six years.

Thank you, Im sorry for venting

Re: Help me ahmsi refuses to modify

I'm glad you got the ball rolling by faxing the docs to Jeanne and Jim's office's.....they are very responsive and you should get some sort of help from them.

I know this is a very hard holiday season for many people but just being together as a family during this difficult time does count for something.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and I pray for a positive outcome for your situation.

Good luck and keep us posted! Let us know if you have anymore questions.
