Looking for help to deal with * AHMSI *

Hello everyone,

This is my first time posting any information on this website and i am looking for advise to deal with * AHMSI * we recently were denied a loan modification because we are not in forclusure or late on any payments allwe would like to do is freeze our rate for five years so it will give time for the value of our house to go back up my fear is that they will not freeze our rate because they may say that there is disposable income left to pay the increase. The disposable incoem we do get is when there is overtime offered or if there is a bonus check, with so many other bills it is going to be difficult to stay current wth the increase of the new payment i have called * Jeanne Drake, it seema as if she has been able to help people uot, any suggestions please informe me thanks..

atharmon.....

Welcome to the forum and thank you for joining.............

The first thing you would need to do is to put together a solid hardship letter..........short and to the point........you will find examples in the Homeowner Tool Box on the homepage of the site.

Then you would need to contact AHMSI to see what options the investor on your loan would have............

How to Get Help

Call Us
If you’re facing a tough situation, the best thing to do is contact us as soon as possible. You can speak with a Home Retention Team member by calling 877.304.3100. The only way we can help is if we’re able to communicate with you.

Request Help Online
You can also log in to your account and request help online at Payment Help. There you’ll find answers to frequently asked questions, necessary forms and other materials to help you through this process.

Two good contacts to fax your hardship letter and financial info are.......

Jeanne Drake-Direct phone line 949-784-6011
Fax Line 866-642-4196

Jim Davis- Phone-904-996-9696
Fax-904-996-9653

What state are you in, interest rate, balance, payment and do you have a second?

Hope this helps.....

Re: Looking for help to deal with * AHMSI *

Hi,

I have my own ordeal going on in this forum "Okay now what".
I asked for a loan mod a year ago and took what they offer. Which was basically a rate freeze at 9.4 that was a big mistake! My rate had just adjusted for the first time from 6.4 to 9.4 but I was scared to death that it would adjust again that when they offered to keep the rate at 9.4 I accepted. Now I am a year later, Claimed bankrupcy and trying to get another Mod.

Read the Threads in here and you will see, People are getting good rates. Don't let the mortgage company intimidate you or be afraid of asking for a reasonable rate.

I just submited my paperwork and am working with the mortgage company on the terms of my Mod. I was going to ask that they lower my rate put after reading this forum I asked them specifically for 4% for 1 year, 5% for the 2nd year (to allow me time to get caught up on other bills and 6% for the 3rd year and life of the loan. I don't know if I will get it but I see others that are getting good rates so all they can say is No.

You don't want to settle for a bad mod and then have to go through this again in another year like me.

I had a lot of trouble getting anyone to talk to me at the mortgage one and took the advise offered here and went straight to the top.

Jeanne Drake-Direct phone line 949-784-6011
Fax Line 866-642-4196

Jim Davis- Phone-904-996-9696
Fax-904-996-9653

I look at it this way. They have taken money from me for 3 years like loan sharks. Now that the public eye is on them is the time to make them do right by us.

I called them once begging for help and the rep told me that I should try to get another job. Well guess what I did! My new job is to call them everyday until they help me.

Call the people we listed, Jeanne and Jim, You won't be sorry.
