It has come to the point where I am in need of help. My husband and I have our mortgage with AHMS. We have an Option Arm rate. Our current payment is 2200. It will jump up two more times with the largest payment being 3500.00 a month. My husband had a job change that cut his pay almost 50% so we are struggling. We contacted AHMS to see if they could help us. We spoke to Yurozka who said she would try to get our loan modified. She asked for a hardship letter and took our information about how much our bills were...etc... We waited three weeks with no response. My husband kept calling her. She finally answered two days ago and basically said we did not qualify. We are very upset because we feel like she wasted our time. I told my husband to start calling Jeanie Drake. He did. We left two messages with her. We called her again today and her voice mail said she is out of town and will be out until October 23rd (or something close to that). We called Jim Davis and his secretary answered. We gave her a quick summary of our situation. She said that Jim was also out traveling with Jeanne Drake but that she would have a supervisor call us. About an hour ago Craig Holly called us. He basically said since our loan was an ARM loan there is no modification that can be done to it. My question is, do you all think that is true? Has anyone with AHMS had an Option ARM loan that was sucessfully modified. Or is Craig true and there is nothing that can be done to help us? We are behind two payments but we have managed to get the money together to pay what we owe. I have not sent it in yet because I have read here that they will not help you unless you are deliquent. So I am holding off on sending the money. I would appreciate any advice. Since Jeannie Drake is out of her office should I keep calling or faxing her? Thank you for any help! |
