Now, here's an ugly update to our 2010 loan mod! We fell behind on our payments last fall. Both Hubby and I are now on disability and had a hard time catching up once falling behind. We were 3 months behind and sent a payment, which they returned to us. They will only take the past due plus all fees now. I am trying to re-do our loan mod but was told yesterday that we can't do another HAMP mod. Funny thing is that they offered it. I had questioned if we could since we already had one and the rep said since it had been over 1 year we could do another one. Well, I was to call our "relationship" counselor today to let him know if we decided to do their repayment schedule, which was too much, and another AHMSI rep, from India, called yesterday to say that they would no longer takes payment arrangements, only the total amount past due, and they they denied our loan mod. I had 3 messages in to our "relationship" guy today with no returned call. Today was the deadline for the offer. (I believe it would have been a forebearance deal, but I can't commit to such high monthly payments for 3 months. he had said our investor wouldn't allow longer than 3 months) They keep telling us there is a sale date of May 30 on our home. How can that be since there isn't a foreclosure judgement yet? I looked on my county website, at the sherrif sales, and there isn't even a sale on that date, plus when I look through them all, all the way till the end of August, we arent' listed at all. I am so sick and tired of their lies and bullying.
We've lived here for almost 29 years and I am so sorry I ever refinanced when AmeriQuest "stalked" us to do so back in 2005.
As I told AHMSI, I only want to become current, with past due payments and fees attached to end of our loan, and go on with the mortgage with the payments we had before. I would even do an in-house mod and if our payments went up a little, that'd be fine. This bs with them saying we can only spread the payments over 3 months, with a big down payment, just isn't going to work when we only get paid once a month, with our SSDI.
Any advice??
