First of all, thank you all for all the wonderful info on this site. I will try to make my story brief. Been working with AHMSi towards HAMP for 16 months. Same story as most… faxed docs many times, told many different things, my file was passed around a few times, was assigned negotiator #3 or #4 two months ago and was told because it had been so long since I sent in my last set of docs , all my documentation of outdated, had to send it all again... I did, only to be told (after 17 months of back and forth) that I was denied. Reason? ... the lease agreement, letters both my tenants, copies of checks and cash receipts… (which I was told to turn in about a year ago) were not enough to verify the extra $800/mo I received. I asked if I could submit my application for HAMP without the $800/mo rental as income. She said no, I was denied (even though I have receipts and a rental agreement, bank statements and letters from tenants that all verify the income I received) Got my denial letter stating I did not turn in documents in time… ugh!! I was told over the phone I was denied for not receiveing checks only and not cash, It just makes my crazy, why couldn’t someone have told me that at some point over that last year and a half we have been working on this. I certainly would have addapted a check only payment policy.

I am being reviewed for an in house now with AHMSI. Does anyone know what types of mods they are offering right now or how long it could take? Is it true that I can re-apply for HAMP? I just don't think I can do another 12 months of this again...
