new reader-need help w/AHMSI modifiction

I was a customer with Option 1, and had my loan modified on 1/2008. It was not a great modification-9% and a high payment, plus they added 14,000 to the principle. We are having trouble making the high payments, and asked AHMSI to modify again. They said they couldn't until 1/2009. I have 2 questions. 1-Has anyone ever modified a loan with AHMSI before the year was up? and 2-I've called a few of these websites that offer help to talk to the lenders for the consumer, mostly $1,0000-$1,500, has anyone ever used these services to help with a modification? Every person I talked to on the internet has stated they can modify the loan. Thank you for all the help!

Re: new reader-need help w/AHMSI modifiction

pwalsh,

I have not yet had my loan modified with AHMSI, however, it seems like they are going to be more difficult to deal with than Option One. They are charging fees for everything and denying loan mods for various reasons......just be prepared for a battle. Now that's not to say that it cannot be done, it can but it takes a lot of patience and perseverance. PLEASE DO NOT HIRE ANY LOAN MODIFICATION COMPANIES ON THE INTERNET!!! It's a scam to get you to part with your money, lots of times with little or no results. If you need a third party to assist you hire an Real Estate attorney....I believe you can look one up on the Naca website or you can hire Gregory Paiva here on the website. But if you want to do it yourself, ***, Andrew and Moe will be able to guide you through the process.

Do not give up......you can do this! Good luck!
