    Smile What should I do?

Got denied on the phone today for the Hamp program said exessive forbearance

I am almost 60 days late on the first and not paid the second since Dec
in hopes the company would modify my loans I kept first current now American Home mortgage is saying no to the modification on the phone for reason being excessive forbearance?

I am discharged Chapter 7 as of Dec 09 and the mortgage company didnt ask us to reaffirm so the debt is not liable to me as it sits...

I want to keep the house and get current but need a better payment due to a drop in business my two loans are right at $2800 a month I can afford $2100

    Re: What should I do?

I just faxed a Plea for help letter to Jeanne Drakes office to see what can be done and left a voice mail with my Negotiator Rhett Lane....... I wonder if a new lender would consider a REFI after all this mess? Proabably wishfull thinking huh!

    Re: What should I do?

I would suggest just stop making payments altogether. Alot of struggling homeowners are doing that. And go to AHMSI3.com and download the financial analysis form and submit all the documentation to Jeanne Drake's office and see if you get a response. And fax the same documentation every week until you do. Don't give up. In the past 18 months I have only made 3 mortgage payments to AHMSI. Keep fighting and good luck.

Well I Have left 3 phone messages for the negotiator and no return call to date. I have also been faxing Jeanne Drakes Office. No Answer
Will resume dialing and faxing daily starting at 8 am. I work from home and got a E fax so is easy to resend files and auto dial a phone over and over on speaker dial

RHETT LANE 888 237-9280 EXT 66115 IS THE NUMBER I HAVE FOR MY NEGOTIATOR

Oh ok.......so your second is in collections?? These days it seems most homeowners who default on the second mortgage their accounts are being referred to a collection agency. I hope you can get a modification on your first though. Just keep trying every week. Peroidically refaxing your modification docs until you start to get assistance. I believe the Home Preservation Dept. is swamped these days. Take care.

Yes i made my own mod.... Quit paying the second and keep first current rather then wait for these clowns to react. My second was discharged in Chapt 7 and not reaffirmed...... I will wait for them to blink.... thanks

    Re: What should I do?

over $600 a month I can afford the $2100 I pay just not the 2700 So in hopes of showing AHMSI by making the $2100 they will see a pattern of payments that I can afford and if it needs to go to court at least I am showing I can make the payment and going from 2700 to $2100 is not that much of a mod if AHMSI will get off their loafers and help...... The way it sits now I will wait for them to force a foreclosure on a non payment on the second force them to pay the first to try and jam it to them in a CHapt 13!

    Re: What should I do?

today is June 30th Paying my first to make it 30 days late and not pass day 60. I wish to show AHMSI I can afford a reasonable pattern of payments. I am calling the call center and I will ask what the status
is of my modification to be moved from the Hamp which was denied to the in house traditional process..... Will post as soon as I hang up the details. May need this evidence for later legal remedies.... thanks Car67

    Re: What should I do?

Just Paid my one months payment on my first mortgage. Conf 5430215 Asked since I was denied for Hamp whats the next step for getting the process rolling for resubmission to the traditional process. The lady said I was submitted for review June 22 and that things would start from scratch at this point. I clearly asked is there anything else I can do at this point to make the process any easier for AHMSI and myself as a home owner looking to make monthly payments and keep my property. The agent said no but to check back each week for updates. I will now fax Drakes office Two times today........ thanks Car 67

    Re: What should I do?

    Car,

    Just my two cents::::::
It seems as though these servicing companies, like AHMSI, are helping only those that are past 90 days late first. Maybe they feel because you are not so far behind/delinquent on payments, they will drag out your situation until eventually it becomes a problem for you and they can see that based on you being late. As long as you show consistent payments, they will not work with you from what I've read from others on this board. Nonetheless, good luck with your situation. I hope you can pull through and get something done with these guys.
