I confirmed with CS that they have received the documents but have yet to assign a negotiator to my file. This was a week ago. My concern is that I was recently put an a Forebearance Payment Plan when I was 2 months behind in my mortgage payments. I was told this was the only way to stop foreclosure proceedings on my home while I got my paperwork ready for the loan modification. Now that I have submitted the paperwork, do I still have to continue making the payments as per the Forebearance plan? I ask because the payments are higher than what our normal payments are because they added our past due payments to try and get us caught up. I am worried that I will not be able to make the payment since I was already struggling with paying the usual mortgage payments. However, i don't know how this will affect the decision on my loan modification. Should I still try and stick to the Forebearance plan even though I am hoping to get my loan modified? I just don't want to have them start foreclosure proceedings. Does receiving my loan modification documents mean that AHMSI have to stop any foreclosure for now? What should I do? HELP |

On the other hand... not sure I would want to violate any agreement under the forbearance plan. You need to talk to servicer to clarify. But I believe once you set up with trial payments under HAMP that should replace the forebarence. Again "should" is the big concern. |

If they are too high, talk to lender and see if you can get a special forbearance plan where you pay 1/2 of your payments until your mod is determined. Are the two months you were behind spread over 6 or 9 months? If not, see if they can rework the numbers. |
