This letter said "we have a mod request in front of us (I'm assuming that is NACA's proposal) but wish to work directly with you". Called NACA - they said to go ahead with sending AHM the paperwork. That when we get the proposal for the trial period to let NACA see it (which we will do). But I have some questions. First - we sent in our 'packet' in late August and still haven't heard anything. I got a call about a month ago (recording) that said 'we sent you a packet that we haven't gotten back" So I called. The lady on the line (not my negotiator - don't know who that is) told me they did got the docs on Aug 28 and that it was in "status - processing" and had been contracted out to India and not to be concerned about the calls - that they are automatic. I'm still getting those calls about once a week. It's been almost two months now. I've seen others state they got their 'proposal' so much faster. I'm also concerned about being denied after the trial. It is not going to kill us to lose our home. We'll just rent and start over in a few years. But if the trial period goes by then we get denied - should I have NACA take over again? Would that buy us more time? Thanks for any advice. |

Also we are finding that hardly anyone is getting approved for a permanent modification after the agreement is up. This program is not working at all like expected... Also yes I believe NACA should be able to by you more time..

If not you NEED to call at the very least 2x's a week and keep on top of everything. Speak w/Ms Drakes office, leave messages daily until you get a response back. As I am worried about also not getting perement assistance after the trial period and that it does seem that you can't find anyone who has I've come up w/this to help "ease" my fear's... It was just opened up in late July to all non gov backed loans and that it seem's that no has completed the trial period as of yet. I'm hopeful that within the next few months we'll see more sucess stories. Please don't get me wrong I am very nervous/worried about being denied, BUT I also can not live my life over the next 4 month's in complete panic or stress over it right now. |

I spoke to the last agent and told her that I was working with NACA and all my paperwork has already been sent to them back in Feb. They told me then to ignore the calls long everything was submitted throught Naca in Feb. |

They sent me a letter in September with a package of documents to submit to be considered for HAMP. I sent all the necessary documents certified mail. They were signed and received September 21. On September 28, AHSMI sent me their standard form letter asking me for all the documents again. I called. It turns out they needed updated me to send our most RECENT paycheck stubs, and bank statement. After I faxed, I called to confirm. I called yesterday. First they say, I have to submit the entire package. I protest. They send me to Loan Modification. After going through my records, he confirms they have received everything. He gave me their boiler plate response...."you'll hear from a negotiator within 21 business days...." If you're put in the trial period, you still may not qualify....yada yada...." It is taking a long time to get a negotiator. I'll keep calling twice a week. I'm looking forward to getting a different answer each time I call (: We had a major hardship this year, but we are current on our loan. I am just dreading this entire process. I wish there was a way we could just bypass the entire HAMP, and ask for an in house modification. Given the pressure Treasury is putting on the servicers to produce any kind of "fake" HAMP modifications; I'm doubting they're doing in-house. |

You can make your trail payments, but you are still late on the normal monthly payments. I have come to expect the worst, I will be fighting to come up with 6 mo. worth of payments at the end of trail plan. Or so it seems? |
