I just wanted to let everyone know how this forum has help us in our fight to keep our home. We lost hope last year, we had an adjustable rate which we could not afford. We didn't know what to do and how to go about it. We eventually moved out of our home into an apartment until we found this forum. At the time, we were 9 months behind. I immediately faxed over all paper work to the numbers provided on this forum. We got an answer less than 2 months. They gave us a step up rate starting a 3% and maxing out at 5% putting everything on the back end with an escow account. New start, so we thought. Well somewhere along the way the ball was dropped. We was told that we didn't have an escrow and we received a refund before our 1st payment was due. A few months later, we received an escrow analysis stating we had an escrow shortage which pushed our mortgage up over $500. We contacted our negiotator and copied Mrs Drake. We got an immediate response. We informed our negiotator of the problem. She told us that she would get this handled for us. She was very helpful. I guess I left out the part about losing my job and being on unemployment. I advised her of my job loss during our conversation. She did just what she said. We faxed over new documents and we just got approved for a new modification this week and have already received the paper to sign. The new modification has us making our 1st payment in January, 5% for the life of the loan with a balloon payment and we haven't made a payment since July. It only took two months, I am soooo happy.
