Hello everyone, like so many of you I too have a story First of all I can NOT stress the complete gratitude I have for this site. I found out about it when I did our rate freeze 2 yrs ago and it was a tremendous help. My husband and I have a loan with AHMSI and our interest rate is currently frozen at 8.8% on a loan amt of 432k, our monthly payment's w/escrow is over $3600/month and it's killing us. I did submit all of your doc's to them and I did call Jeanne Drakes number and left a message and her assistant Valerie called me back. I do not have a negotiator as of yet, but I just re-sumitted paper work yesterday. I will keep you posted. Also a tip that has seemed to help me as then when I call the regular CS number and get routed to India, I tell them to transfer me to the US, I've been polite BUT I will not deal with the Indian office. During the time we did our rate freeze they gave me VERY wrong info until I smartened up and began not dealing with them period.

You should be on the right track! I would also suggest to keep in touch with the loss mitigation dept instead of the customer service reps because they seem to be much more helpful..

UPDATE...

I called Jeanne Drakes office yesterday (night) and called Valerie (assistant) twice yesterday and LM's. I called Ms Drakes office again today and left another message. I did call CS and they updated me that our file that a request has been sent to a negotiator. YAY finger's crossed that by Monday they will have us assigned to someone. I'll keep you posted.

Good job! Next time you call in I suggest that you ask what your negotiators name and ext and/or email is for your referrerance..
