I am new to this forum and after staying up late last night reading all these post i decided to register. we have been at this with AHMSI since march, but we were not doing this alone, we had attorneys supposively helping us out with much promises! they did nothing! i had to do all the work calling them and calling my mortg comapny finally in June to see what was going on. I was told that we might qualify for the obama plan and not to worry. well I am as our house is not only in foreclosure but now they said a sale date is in sept. We paid our attnys 2,000 of which we struggled to pay in 4 pymts and were advised not to pay our mortgage company so we can pay them. I looked them up in the State bar of CA and they are not able to practice law it said. I dont know but i feel we were taking for a ride. I had about 4 different women assigned to my case and paperwork would get lost that i would fax them. anyway I am stressed out and prayed hard last night for favor. I am in desperate need of help as we are a family of 6. i have 6 children of which 2 are now out of the house with 4 remaining for us to raise. I am going to try calling that guy that ya mentioned Luis trejo and see if he can help, yesterday when i called my AHMSI they told me i had to answer there questins and go through them before they would give me my negotiator ext. so i did than he said if i wanted for him to send me the loan mod papers? i told him what do u mean, i have been doing this since march and you have all my info and hardship letter and w2's and he said you may qualify for a home afford mod program. which he started to ask if i agreed with what he was asking me and i said yes to all questions accept where he said i had to include my house ins and taxes with payment, i told him no. i pay those seperatly always and didnt want to pay interest on that. he said well i am going to put here that you turned this down! i said no i want you to give me a chance to go over this with my husband to see if we both agree. then i had to ask him again for angela camacho ext. I feel we have been going in circles. I'm tired and depressed and hurting mentally and physically with al that is going on. has anyone else used Christian and dillon attny's and the USMAC law group? thanks and God bless. |

Lets say they did a mod for you and something happened and you couldn't pay your taxes for example - a lien is done or an investor is watching and swoops in a pays it (taxes). Then you owe investor $ plus interest. etc. etc. I understand where you are coming from with not wanting to pay extra interest but if you really want to stay in your house just include that. Get the payments as low as you can and when/if the mod is done add $20 or more to your monthly payment to go towards principal - this will buy down your principal balance far quicker than the interest you save by paying taxes/insurance on your own. |

I could not find an attorney on their site. Only some Lowell Gimbel and he is not licensed with the bar. State Bar of CA :: Attorney Search. I also saw a lot of complaints online about this company and some other associates. You may have been scammed and are out that $2k? You can report them to the Attorney General or the FTC if they don't refund your money. In the mean time you need to get help fast. Try www.NACA.com or 888-995-HOPE. WWW.995HOPE.ORG. You can also call the lawyer handling the sale for the lender. You may have received mail with their name and number. Call them and ask for help and an extension on time before the sale to work it out because you were scammed. I have seen this work for others. Here are some more links to free help.

With the escrow for the taxes and insurance it normally makes your mortgage monthly payment less anyway if you are approved for a modification, and no more worries on the other bills. Please let us know how it goes! |

Luis stopped or pushed my foreclosure back. My sale date was sept 1st he said. And it was active. He said he was pushing it back another 90 days to give me a chance to get my loan mod papers in and start over. He said he was going to ask my negotiator to call me. He said if she didn't call me within 1 week then to call him back. So i am very happy that the huge load i was carrying is finally off my shoulder . Hopefully i can sleep better now and stay on top with my negotiator. Thanks so much for this forum. You are truly a blessing to all of us that are hanging on to the end of our rope! May god continue to use you all to bless and help others! Keep up the good work. God bless |
