AHMSI seem to be complete idiots

Here is my story:

My wife and I had to declare bankruptcy in Dec 08 because of loss of business and income. We filed chapter 7 and was had our court date in Feb 09. Up to this point we were paying on time with no problems. I sent my March payment via my banks bill pay, just like I have done many months before. I get an email 1 week later stating that the payment was bumped back. I called AHMSI and was told that since I had an active bankruptcy that they were not allowed to accept bill pay payments. The rep told me that he was able to take a check over the phone. I did so. When I went to make my April payment, knowing that I would not be able to do bill pay, I called them to do another check by hone. When I got the rep they stated they would not be able to take any payment as we were in an active bankruptcy.
Our bankruptcy was discharged 4/3/09. I called AHMSI in May to find out about the missing payment and to make the next payment. They stated that their system did not show a discharge and they could not accept payments. I had our bankruptcy lawyer contact them to no avail.
We filed for a loan modification and was told it will take 4-6 weeks. I let this go for a couple of months kinda burying my head. We received a call from AHMSI 2 weeks ago asking for a payment and if we could pay the past due. I stated to the lady that I would love to but they were not allowing to make a payment. She checked her system and with her supervisor and told me that yes in fact they could not. I asked her if they showed our discharge yet. She said they did not still. I asked about the loan mod and she said it was rejected and that a letter was sent out the day before.
I received the loan mod rejection letter yesterday, in fact 2 different letters stating 2 different reasons. The first said "Modification not allowed under current Pooling Servicing Agreements", the second said "Failure to comply with the terms of the Modification Trial Period Plan". I called AHMSI today and was told that they only show in their system that it was denied because the investor does not allow loan mods. At first the rep could not tell me who the investor was, but a pushed the point and he was able to say it was Harbor View Mortgage Loan Trust. I also asked about the discharge and he said they still did not show the discharge. They said that they would put in a request to change their system and that we would get a letter of intent of foreclosure once the change has been made in the system and that we would have 30 days to bring the balance current. I asked for a copy of the Pooling Servicing Agreement (PSA) and was told at first the I could not get a copy. I pressed the point that if I was denied because of this agreement that I should get a copy. He talked with a supervisor and I was told that I can send in a request for a PSA. I asked about the second letters reason and he was not sure why I got that letter and pawned it off as a form letter.
At this point I am going to try NACA and seek local attorney. Has anybody else had these issues? Any suggestions?
Thanks
