Cool Desperately Seekling Resolution in Hawaii~ Please Help!!!

Aloha,
I have been through the wringer with Option One and Now AHMSI, trying to get a loan modification. Have tried 3 times with no luck.
My interest rate is now at 9% and mortgage payment $6500.00 per month! We had a severe hit in our business which caused our income to decrease by close to $60,000 from 07 to 08. This apparently was not "hardship worthy"
2009 has not exactly been a cake walk either. We were forced to file Chapter 7 due to the fact that I could not make my mortgage payments plus an additional $1500 to pay the trustee on top of that.
So now our credit cards, car loan, anything extra is gone. Completely dissolved all other debts. I spoke with a counselor in Hope Now who was BRAND NEW and really didn't have the experience to help me figure a way to save our home. This is all we have and I don't want to lose our home. After the bankruptcy, I thought we would be okay and be able to work out a viable plan with our mortgage company to get on track and save our home. Instead we received no break in our monthly mortgage (which we can not afford) and now they are putting our house up for auction in a month! I need help! Can someone please steer me in the right direction of who I can speak with that can be of most help to me in that company. I did not have an attorney for my BR, I filed everything myself.
I need prayers and guidance!

P.S. We are also most certainly the result of predatory lenders who knocked on our doors almost daily. We had re-financed in order to re-build our home and that actually jacked up our mortgage, grossly over estimated the value of our home and ended up costing us all the money we would have used to remodel just to pay our mortgage..........................hind sight is certainly 20-20

I am not sure if you have had any response yet, but you can try contacting the VP of Home Preservation and see what else can be done.

Jeanne Drake-VP Home Preservation Dept.
Direct: 1-949-784-6011
Fax: 1-866-642-4196

I know how you feel. You may want to try the Hope for Homeowners Alliance . They contacted AHMSI directly after I filled out their financial questionnaire and requested that they modify my loan. All they did was freeze my current interest rate which wasn't great but it helped when my interest shot up to 10% after the intro period.

Read the other posts on here. I did exactly what they said and contacted multiple people at one time, and I did have my interest rate frozen in a week. No lost papers or anything.

Good luck to you and I'll be praying for you.
