Unemployed question

Has anyone received a modification while being unemployed? I am currently unemployed and receiving unempoyment benefits but my husband is still employee. We are both on the loan. Can anyone let me know if they have tried to accomplish this?

Re: Unemployed question

This is considered a hardship. I would contact AHMS executive office to find out if your husband's income would qualify you for a loan modification.

Re: Unemployed question

Thanks for the response. I pulled the Financial Analysis Form and it states on the form that you had to have a stable job and they didn't accept unemployment. I was wondering if a modification can be complete with my husband but I am on the top of the loan. I also have been hearing about about the plan Obama implemented but I don't know enough about that. How can I find out if we can get approve through that plan or do the same criteria still apply.

Re: Unemployed question

You would have to call the AHMS excutive office for that information. Your husband is employed and has a stable job right? If so I would say to just call the executive office and apply for the loan modification. You never know until you call and take the 1st step..Good Luck!

Re: Unemployed question

You should be able to get a loan modification with just your husbands income. I have been unemployed for some time and my husband is the only one bringing in income right now and we have received a loan modification twice. Just get all your information together and fax it over to Jeanne Drake's office.

Good Luck and I'm sure things will work out for you!

Hi Monnie,
How long after your first mod, did you attempt the second?
Was the second mod more difficult? I am in need of another mod myself.

OP keep sending your letters to Jeanne Drake. Keep fighting.
Best of luck. I will keep you in my prayers.
