Question - Loan Modification Forum

Can anyone please help me with the question I posted on yesterday?

We recently had our loan modification approved in January 2009 and our first payment was due in March. During the time we were waiting for the modification I lost my job and was diagnosed with a chronic illness. I have been looking for work for 6 months but nothing to be found. We recently received a escrow analysis that put our loan back where it was when we asked for the first modification. We are currently not behind but we are drowning. Is there help out there for us at this point? Can we request another loan modification possibly asking to have the principal deferred?

Hi highlydistressed,

You will first need to contact AHMSI first to see if you will be able to apply for another modification. The reason Im saying this is because some lenders will not allow you 2 modifications within a 12 month time period...

Hi highly stressed...I just noticed that there is a member on this forum "monnie" that was approved for a loan modifiation at the beginning of the year and has recently been approved for a second loan mod through AHMS it might be worth a try.
