NACA - I Am Really Concerned about the Conselor I Had!! I Need Help- Auction is 6-14

I did some reading here and it sounded like NACA was the the way to go. I have been trying for years to get my mortgage modified by Wells Fargo and ended up last year with an unaffordable, in-house mod. that INCREASED my payments. I had to sign or loose my house. I was promised a HAMP, but they sent an in-house instead.I have struggled to pay what I could on this unreasonable mortgage and was told I could reapply for HAMP in a year.
So I did. My first contact was Feb.12 and the loan specialist waited until the April 30 to submit my loan. BUT, he didn't submit it, he deleted the file. So Wells Fargo used up months of my time. I reapplied and was rejected due to not enough income. I was told they couldn't help me in any way, sorry. In the meantime, I have received a pay stub for my second job, which brings in an additional 1600/ mo. It's my first month and I didn't have the pay stub earlier to submit with my other docs. No stub- no income according to the bank.
Enter NACA. I joined and was impressed by the ease with which I was able to upload files, fax documents, and in general see my status. I spoke with a counselor today and pretty much lost all faith in NACA. My counselor was impersonal and in a hurry. He argued with me about property taxes, insisting they were listed on the back of my mortgage statement, which they weren't - there is nothing listed there! He couldn't work his phone and I spent 10 minutes or so, just waiting for him to adjust his phone so I could hear him and not static. He didn't ask me all the financial questions he should have - I have my file from Wells Fargo and was following along with the NACA guy on each form. He left out one of my pay stubs for one of my jobs, and refused to listen to me when I told him he was missing 2300/mo of my income. He was in such a hurry to submit my file, he did. Then he said, "Your payment will be $500 a month and your file is submitted." I asked him who he submitted it to and he told me Wells Fargo. Now I KNOW, the income he put in is not enough. I just got denied and I had more income than that. I told him him that and said he said he'd ask that it be ignored due to not enough income. My file status on NACA website indicates still, that the file was submitted. I was also told NACA writes your hardship letter for you. This is the comment left by the counselor on my NACA status page:"Please fax in all documents that required to have your file update and current." I am really concerned about a letter written by someone who writes like that. I feel all in all I was just rushed through a system by someone who doesn't care.
The auction date on my house is 6-12 and I am really running out of time. I thought NACA could help, but what was submitted was lacking nearly all of my income! I will get denied and be in the same position, just closer to the sale. Any ideas? I have scheduled another appointment by phone for tomorrow at 6am. I don't know what I expect to happen.

NACA called at 5 am this morning, instead of 6, but that was fine. I spoke with a rep. who corrected all of the deficiencies in my file. He read me the hardship letter that was submitted on my behalf last night. It was full of grammar errors and was very awkward. He rewrote it to be more understandable, and read it back to me for my approval. He was patient and detailed and very professional. I feel more comfortable and have figured out it all depends on who you get. If they don't appear to know their job, they probably don't. If I had to do it all again, I would have stopped the first conversation early on and just rescheduled to get someone else.

I was just emailed copies of the forms NACA filled out for my file and this rep forgot to list my OTHER income. Now I am missing 1600/mo from my income. I am about ready to give up. It's almost as bad as dealing with Wells Fargo all over again. Next NACA appointment is Tues....

I would take matters into your own hands and fill out the financial worksheet yourself and also write your own hardship letter. Time is of the essence here and it is crucial you get everything submitted correctly right away to help get the foreclosure postponed so you can continue working on the modification. You can find many easy formats of hardship letters for you to follow in the link below..
