    NACA Limbo

We went to the save the dream tour on Sept 11 in Miami. The mortgage company AHMSI supposedely had 30 days to give us an answer (this is what it says in our NACA file) it's been over 30 days and we still have no answer.?

Before we went to the Naca convention, I asked my mortggage company for a Hamp packet. They sent it right out and even assigned me a case manager who called me two days in a row,and told me everything was going to be great and they were going to lower my mortgage. I never filled out any of the paperwork, because I heard

NACA was in town the following weekend. We spent 22 hours at NACA they never called us on our scheduled appointment, and now I don't know what to do? The latest update on my NACA file is to start contacting my congress man?

Now I don't know whether to hang onto the hope of NACA or try to deal directly with my mortgage company?

I'm a paranoid sort and found it odd that the motgage company case manager called me two days in a row promising me to lower my mortgage. She also said if this process failed they also have another route that costs $650 .

This is where the red flags came up,so I went with NACA.

The problem is we're falling behind and need the mortgage lowered, but don't know what to do next. Meanwhile AHMSI is calling me every day asking for money and telling me I'm missing this form and that form

Which I'm not (I'm looking at the so called things they're missing on my computer in my NACA file while I'm on the phone with them.

I need to get my mortgage lowered but am starting to think I'm getting the runaround. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi mookster,

I posted this in your other thread and will post it here as well, NACA modifications do take a while, so patience is definitely required when dealing with them, but the outcome is a low fixed affordable rate and payment if you can hang in there. Good Luck!
