Has Anyone had sale date postponed by NACA? - Page 3 - Loan Modification Forum

From what I understand, when it is tagged as naca, they will not actively pursue postponment until 1 week prior to sale date.

You are correct that is when they look at it. I JUST got off the phone with NACA, as I have a sale date next Mon. the 11th. They told me they may not get it postponed until the day before!!! Call back Fri!!!!

I`m starting to freak a little here. My plan B was to file chapter 13 Friday. He assured me that they have an agreement in place, and BOA can`t sell it without acknowledging NACAs proposal yada,yada.

He did say that within the next 10 business days, as of today, there are going to be a huge amount of MODS going out, which I found to be good news for all on this board.

Thanks for keeping me posted on your progress with NACA and cw clowns...my proposal was only a week ago, so i'm just reading and remaining patient but also persistent! So glad to have loansafe and know im not alone..i did figure one thing out thru trial and error....THIS IS MY PROBLEM AND MY HOUSE....NO ONE ELSES!!!!! ITS PERSONAL NOW AND I WILL STRIVE ON AND PRAY FOR ALL OF YOU..=)

hello all. boy do i miss u guys and this forum. vicjohn, i'm so glad that you are able to postpone until you get an answer. i was wondering if cw will offer me a mod through them or i have to go through the naca forebearance route. i want a mod, not a forebearance and at this time naca said all they can request for us is a forebearance. arrrgh...more waiting. as of tomorrow, my mod review is at the 90 days mark and both naca and cw has no answer.

Well NACA knows what they are saying. I called yesterday 5/4 about my 5/11 sale date, and later in the afternoon got a call from BOA attorney saying "your sale date has been removed". I asked if they had set a new one and she said no. She said if BOA requested a new on today it`d take 30-60 days to go to sale.

I`m back in the game. NACA rep also said a huge bunch of mods will be coming through within the next 10 business day as of 5/4.

I just wish we didn't have to wait till the week of or week before the sale date to get it stopped. It is really frustrating when you are trying to not worry and deal with keeping your house when you have people driving by and people calling you about you not being able to pay for your house

lostinlife yeah it`s a SOB to deal with for sure. Nobody ever drives down my street, so everybody knows what`s up. Today though I feel grateful that NACA was able to have it removed. I also have faith that NACA will get me a reasonable MOD so I can stay in my home, in the end that is what`s important, not my pride, or worrying about what others think.

Bob, I totally agree with you that it is important to keep your house, but there are just people out there that are nosey and don't think before they talk. My hubby works in a local buisness and everyone knows him from town, we have had customers go up to other employees and say oh I see so and so can't pay for their house. yada yada yada. It just sucks, to have friends and family calling you up. If we wanted to talk to them about it we would right?

Hi everyone..guess what? boa is singing the same song like countrywide. got a call from boa this morning asking if our financial status have changed and if we would like to pay everything we owed. hubby said we don't have much and she proceeded to ask how much do we have saved up. he told her a few thousands but he wants to speak to our negotiator. she said there is no such thing as one negotiator and it's a whole team and she can't give out that information. he then asked her if there's anyone else that he can speak to regarding our mod and she said no. she at first gave him some bs info regarding the financial that we sent in for our mod. then my hubby said that's not true and asked her to check on the info for our mod that cw said it received on 2/5. we were told it would take 90 days. (how convenient that boa decided to call today, 5/5). she dig around and said oh ok and said it was not correct so she updated it? (another bs). she then told him that at this time, it's up to the investor and that boa has already done their job (which i think is another bs). she also did not mention about naca..my husband is ready to move this minute but i told him might as well enjoy the free rent for another month or 2. hehe..just want to let everyone know about their bs...

Thought I would share the email addresses I used when I was trying to get a response on my sale date: advocacy@countrywide.com; communityadvocate@countrywide.com; memberservices (memberservices@naca.com); HomeSave (homesave@naca.com);

Even though I was aware on Friday, below is the response I received from naca homesave on Sunday night: "Please be advised that the Sale has been posteponed, and Countrywide is aware that we need an acceptable decision on the NACA Request submitted for you ASAP. NACA works with your lender , and not Countrywide's attorney. I can assure that all is OK with this, I will inform Countrywide of your findings and ask that they confrim once again, and ensure that all parties involved are aware that there is a Posteponement in place. You may check back with me 1 week from today by e-mail for an update on the coming decision from Countrywide. We will do our part to ensure that a decision is made quickly."

I am getting so frustrated! As of yesterday my county sheriff's office has not received any notice that my sale date was to be stopped. And she said if they don't receive anything the sale would move forward......10:30 am tomorrow!

I called NACA, was on hold for an hour...the counselor told me they sent a request to CW/BOA to stop the sale and they received written confirmation that the sale would be stopped.

Contacted CW/BOA advocacy dept and they stated the sale was stopped and a notice was sent out Sunday and that maybe my Sheriff's office hadn't received it yet. She said there would be no sale because it is no longer in their database.

Now I can't get a hold of anyone at my Sheriff's office today to verify they received the notice. AAAAAAHHHHHHH!

What will happen if they go through with the sale tomorrow? I don't want someone knocking on our door telling us we have to leave. What do I do now?

jmc, I contacted cw attorney's office that sent me my notice to confirm it had been halted, because until they get the notice nothing is stopped. when cw says that have postponed sometimes they send an email to a technician that is suppose to contact the attorney to halt the sale and if that tech gets backlogged could be one reason sherriffs/attorney's office hasn't received it. Keep bugging everyone cw, naca, sheriff/attorney!

vicjohn, I just spoke to the attorney's office at 3pm and they have not received anything about the sale being stopped. I was told I would receive a call at 4pm so they could try and contact cw because they said cw hasn't responded to anything. I haven't received a call though.

I'm so scared it is too late now. Sale is at 10:30 tomorrow morning. I've got 3 children and no where to go.

CW says the notice was sent...the attorney's office says they don't have anything and therefore cannot notify the sheriff's office of anything so the sale will be going forward at this point. I'm in tears right now..I'm just so stressed and frustrated!

Spoke to cw/boa and she called the technician who handled contacting the attorney's office and they stated that it had just been confirmed with the attorney's office that the sale was put on hold.

So I called the attorney's office to verify.......nope they still don't have any information. She transferred me to the person that handles my county and I got a voicemail.

Does anyone know what happens if the sale goes through tomorrow even though it's supposed to be on hold?

I spoke to NACA yesterday and they said they received confirmation from cw that the sale had been put on hold. However, cw has not notified the attorney's office who therefore has not notified my county sheriff's office so the sale will continue according to the sheriff's office.

oh my lord. I am sorry you are having such a rough time. I can not imagine how frustrated you are right now. Isn't there anyone at the attornies office that can help you, call CW something?

They can stop the sale up until 10:30a tomorrow.; you might keep probing the attorney's office to call their contact with cw, but sounds like you are getting the same responses I was getting. Hang in there and I know its frustrating but keep calling all of them.

The attorney's office just now called and said they faxed the letter to the sheriff's office letting them know the sale date is on hold until June 11. Not sure if that's gonna be enough time to get a decision from CW or it looks like I'll be doing this all over again in a month.

Congrats! The first time my sale date was pushed out 1 month; the second time they halted it with no new date set until mod decision is made. I did have the same hurdles the second time around with getting it halted. Hang in there. Continue to read the posts on this site and you will know what to expect and how to handle. You are not alone.
