What happens after NACA submits the loan Mod request?

Just wondering if anyone out there can give me more information as to what happens after NACA emails the loan modification request to BofA. The counselour on the phone gave me different information then what was in his email. He said I have to negotiate with BofA unless I want NACA to do it for me. THen I have to call them. But basically, I need to wait to hear from BofA. Is that correct?

Our request was submitted yesterday, November 2nd.

If there is another thread that will give me this information, that would be great too!!!

To be honest with you, I do not know and could not find any info when I searched the forums. Sorry.

Hopefully someone can come along and shed some light on this issue for you.

Re: What happens after NACA submits the loan Mod request?

My experience with NACA is that they tell you it takes 30-60 days to get a response.

But I have not ever had an unsolicited call from NACA, so I would say that in 30 days you should start calling for updates. THEY WILL NOT CALL YOU.

After 60 days if nothing is going on I would amp it up a notch to the supervisors at NACA.

I don't know if BofA is like Chase in the way they handle NACA cases. But I do know that there is a BofA thread with a woman named Barbara's phone number who is a mucky muck at BofA, so you could always amp it up and talk with her.

At Chase there is supposedly a team of people who work only on NACA proposals. I don't know if that's the case with BofA. If I were you I would call BofA and ask them how it works over there. If the person you talk to doesn't know, find that Barbara Doseors (sp) number and ask her.

Calwell02, have you seen any change in the status section at NACA's website, my proposal have been sitting there ideling for the past 3 weeks which is quite contrary to the 5-10 days the Chase representitive quoted me before I will get a response.

Yeah, San Francisco Cow Palace on the 18th, it's the standard answer coming out of every Chase representitive just to get us out of their faces. its also printed on the contact info page they handed just before we left. She also told us most people don't get the same day response because one, the loan has be serviced and invested by the Chase and two the proposal has to be submitted before 6:00 pm when the underwritters are working in Florida. In either case, I didn't hear a single successful story coming from the Chase side, for the two days I was there.

Re: What happens after NACA submits the loan Mod request?

I was there too. Wasn't it a nightmare? i was so exhausted after that San Francisco event I could hardly see straight.

Call Kevin Winn. NACA supervisor 617-250-6222 extension 1254. Leave your naca number, say you were at the STD, and that there has been no change in status.

NACA needs to know that Chase is NOT playing nice at all. I just sent a letter to the CEO of Chase and the CEO of Chase Lending and am ccing it to all my senators, congressmen, office of the comptroller of the currency, the president, and to NACA. This has just got to change and I am fighting mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it was both physically and mentally exhausting, at the time I thought it's all worth it because all the testimonials coming from the BofA/CW borrowers and naively thought Chase would play nice too. The counselor of NACA specific told me there would be a negotiator talking to Chase rep in our behave but all I saw were blue suited Chase people walking around with nothing to do. I just didn't think Naca could care less after they get their $200 from consulting us but all they did were keying all the numbers and have the soft spit out the figures which I naively believe Chase would obey.
I will do the same thing as you did writing to the Exec team, cc Mike Honda and Nancy Pelosi and keep on the fight.

Re: What happens after NACA submits the loan Mod request?

I went to the Las Vegas STD and since my investor was private BofA told us to wait between 14-30 days to get an answer so far it's all empty promises. I emailed NACA few times no response and finally got a channce to talk to the 1888 number and they ask BofA the status and told me to check again in two weeks. The irony is I found out my investor was BofA themselves, maybe, because I was from CW merger so they can help me at the STD event.

Re: What happens after NACA submits the loan Mod request?

I did call BofA last Thursday to find out if they had received the file from NACA. The rep said to give them 7 days. I told him it had been submitted November 2nd which was over 7 days. He said to call back Friday. I also asked him what the status was on our loan. (I didn't tell him we rejected the loan mod that BofA offered us in Oct). He said they were very very close to offering us a loan mod. He can tell by the activities on the account. I was like, ooooh, ok, thanks. He then said, call back Friday to find out more information regarding the loan mod.

So I don't know what is going on other then BofA is totally confused. LOL, so I wait. I will post my status on Friday after I call BofA again. Hopefully, they will have the NACA file registered in their system.
