Have you tried? |

Waiting for him to call me with the terms. I have a friend who works with Naca, waiting for him to get to the office so he can look it up for me. I am very excited about this. Hope it is something good. Good luck to everyone else waiting. It shall come. I have been in the waiting since July, 2008. They denied me somewhere in May and naca resubmitted again on June, 19 2009. Will update later. |

Not to overload him but for those who have been waiting a long time that got "proposal received" it could be helpful. Let us know what happens and if he has any suggestions, contacts or other helpful info for us. Thanks. |

I spoke to him today and he said he couldnt see any proposal submitted on my file yet. But guess what, he said the site he is viewing was last updated on 09/21/09. And I told him that my status changed on 09/22/09 at night time. As I check my status over three times a day. He said I should call him back tomorrow and he will tell me what he sees. If he is able to help me, I will link you up. I could ask him and give his number to you through private message. Either that or you may email me your naca ID and I could rely whatever he sayd to you.Anything that will help. He is the one who put my file together by the way.Hope that helps you. |

He said they have been sending electronic requests to the lenders for them to make decisions and he said even if just an email comes back from them without any proposal it can update to that so we may all be in for a big disappointment. I hope not. I'm crossing my fingers but I think we've all got our hopes up for nothing. Also he did not suggest going to the save the dream event (he didnt say you couldnt or not to 100%) but if you've already been submitted to your lender unless you have a major change in your employment, income or budget. He said its POSSIBLE they may be able to help you but you'll also have to redo your entire budget again there , they wont just use what you had, You would think they could just copy it . He said it wont speed up the process in most cases but could help if your willing to stand in line for the hours you'll stand in line. Regarding the Proposal's received from servicers I hope someone gets what they thought ,mine was nothing. This is ridicilous. Priscela , my NACA ID# is 398613 if he sees anything . Based on my above post I think its just wrong info. My direct email is fmullin123@aol.com. Thanks. |

Seems like a lot of us are getting false alarm on our status update. They said there was nothing in except an update from BOA on 09/21/09 that they were still reviewing me. I have a friend who works at naca. He told me the same thing this morning. It doesn't get any wierder than this. The rep said it could be a screw up by their website. She said they have been having some computer problems the past two days. My status had changed last night to proposal received from servicer. My hope went up but they are back down again now. I called BOA and they said same thing they say to all us. call naca.Messed up indeed. |

They screwed us up by raising our hopes high. My friend ben saw the same freaking thing that the naca rep I spoke to saw. Nothing in yet except an update request. This is becoming so ridiculous. |

I sent an email to Bruce Marks and Kevin Winn . The IT GUY from NACA (His name is Scottie). He asked me to post in the forum his formal apology for the status changed alot of us experienced . He said they have pushing the servicers hard to do something with the submitted files as they have only been doing about 30% of them at any given time in any timely manner. The servicers asked them if they could change the status on our NACA online accounts to "need documents" as in some cases they were missing documents. Well when they ran the program and sent the electronic requests to the servicers and they responded with which documents are needed the email coming back made the system "think" the servicer had submitted a proposal but they hadnt . They were trying to help the servicers who cant seem to hire enough people to handle all the requests not only from them but from everyone. They said they are hitting the servicers hard to get more people, streamline processes and get on the ball so they can handle all of NACA's requests as well as any direct requests. The other point he made because I asked is why they are taking on so many other people if the process is so bad . Well he said Mr. Marks wants to show that there are alot more people in this situation than is really being reported via the media. His idea is the more people he submits , the more people that show up at the save the dream events the more leverage he has to push the lenders/servicers to do what they need to do. Its not going to help right now but it will give them the numbers to push government and the lenders/servicers to get this straightened out. Again he is formally sorry for what happened, he thought he was helping and it ended up causing a mess. I'm just the messenger but I guess I sent a good email. They have reversed the ones statused incorrectly but it cant hurt to email service@naca.com to find out for sure, they seem to be responding to that fairly quickly lately. Hope this helps. I really sincerely believe NACA is trying to do the right thing but on the other end they are hitting a barrier they are trying to break. Frank |

Funny thing is I've gotten more attention and help (see above)since I posed it! They are not opposed to critcism as long as its to help them do better. |

I think you did a service for everyone to cut to the chase. So often we get caught up in the problem rather than the solution. Good job!

Since you speak with Bruce Marks every so often ask him if we can field a few questions each week with him. I have a good rapor with Kevin Winn, one of the IT guys at NACA and a few others. I wouldnt mind taking it on my shoulders to narrow the questions down each week to a few for us to clear us some of the confusion and questions about NACA. For instance when the "proposal received from servicer" issue came up , Scottie from NACA IT dept called me (After a scathing email to Bruce and kevin) and cleared up that it was an honest error and was something they were doing to try to get the lenders/servicers to get moving on the files. Just one example and knowledge is power. Let me know. Frank |

It means call NACA, they have a proposal. Also email them and put "proposal" in the subject. If a negotiator doesn't get back to you in a couple days, call kevin winn, too. 617-250-6222 x254. This way you can find out what your proposal is and have them accept it if you want it. FINALLY PDS! Good Luck!
