Re: NACA/CW MAY Restructure Submittals

Congrats Windy - can you share the negotiator's phone number? I got one for John Gilmore CW/BOA, but the number does not work. Thanks, hope you are able to fax the acceptance in.

Re: NACA/CW MAY Restructure Submittals

Thank you guys. I mailed my letter via express mail today (the address is PO box, Fedex doesn't work), and also faxed it to loss mitigation. I also included a letter explaining the situation in the mail. Hopefully they will get the mail tomorrow.

To answer some of you who asked me how to get the contact information of my negotiator: I never expected to talk to my negotiator because I heard before that if you work with NACA, you wouldn't be able to talk to your negotiator.

My loan is always with BoA, not former CW, so things might be a little different. For a long time, BoA reps didn't know that I was working with NACA, and they told me tht Jeremy is my negotiator as soon as he was assigned to my file, but they wouldn't tell me his contact info. After waiting for 2 months, I email OOP, as like many people said, a lady called Jenny in the office called me within 24 hrs, and then a lady called Kannis from loss mitigation called me in another 24 hrs, then was told that they couldn't help me because I am with NACA.

Another one and a half month passed, still no progress, so I contact Jenny in OOP who called me before, and told her my that I had been waiting for 3.5 months but nobody ever looked my file. Jenny said I should called my contact in loss mitigation - Kannis. So I did, for many times and lefe several messages, but didn't get any response. I then called Jenny in OOP again and left message for her stating that Kannis was not responding to me.

Probably because of my complaint, Kannis called the next day, still saying that she couldn't help me because of NACA. But she said she will get me someone who works on NACA files. She did call me back the next day and gave me my negotiator Jeremy's phone number. Then I called Jeremy right away, that was how I finally got the ball rolling and got my offer.

I think I just happened to be lucky to have the negotiator's phone number, which led to my offer. I once was very frustrated and wanted to give up.

My advice is never give up, try everything you can, email OOP, keep calling them, call loss mitigation, call NACA, etc (my cell phone bill was over $200 last month!). Also ask people in the bank what's the requirement for your financial. I was told once by BoA rep that there is no permanent fix, but just temporary fix. So if they think you can't afford the mortgage in the long run, they may not help you; even you are working with NACA, the standard is the same. So you need to show them that you can bring in more income, or reduce expense in the future, and can afford the mortgage in the long run; even having a roommate might help.

Hope everyone can get his/her loan mod soon. Keep fighting, keep advocating for your home!

Vikingmon,

Are you with CW or BoA? My loan is always with BoA.

From other posts in the forum, if you are with CW, it may help to call David L, you should be able to find his number somewhere.

My negotiator is Jeremy F with BoA, he is in Buffalo, NY, is he your negotiator as well?

Re: NACA/CW MAY Restructure Submittals

Update!

Received the Fedex package last Friday, signed it and had it notarized in the weekend.

Mailed the document to Pittberg, PA, and Oct payment in money order to Plano, TX today.

Now waiting for updates on the account, anyone knows how long it will take to update your account in the system?

From other threats, looks like quite a few people got proposals approved lately. Any other May submittal got approval?

Congratulations WindyCA! Glad we finally got a few more May's approved!

I got my approval 8/12/09. The documents were sent back and received by BofA on 8/28/09. There have been three updates in the "workout" section since then when I login online. Now it says that my workout is closed and completed as of yesterday.

Yesterday they finally had my new payment, interest rate and type of loan listed. They also applied my two payments that were in the partial account, so my October bill is paid and my next payment is due in November. It them about 3 weeks to update everything.

Re: NACA/CW MAY Restructure Submittals

Windy,
Thanks for sharing your story with us. I am current on my mortgage although I have been late a few times. But those were for below 30 days. I have been waiting since July, 2008. I contacted OOP in August and Kenise also called me, just like you. She told me she couldn't help because I was with Naca. She said she would email my negotiator. I have left several messages for her trying to get my negotiator's name and contact but she hasn't responded. I just emailed barbara's office again this AM after reading your last post. Hopefully, someone will call me with info on negotiator.I am pasting the email I sent so anyone can read it.
Cheers and congrats big time.

Hello Ms Barbara,
I have been trying to get a loan modification since July 2008. I have been divorced from my ex husband who left me for another woman for over a year now. I am really struggling to make ends meet because of the mortgage payment. Due to the divorce I am in imminent default. I contacted your office in August. A lady called Kenise B called me and she said she could not help me because I was with NACA. She told me that I could give her a call back if I had any questions. I have left so many messages for her in regards to trying to get my negotiator's name and contact information. She has not responded to any of my calls. Please I am not just waiting for a modification but I am really struggling during the wait time. I would be very grateful if your office can assist me in getting my negotiator's name and contact number. I would like to talk to him or her and advocate for my home.
Respectfully,
Priscilla.

Re: NACA/CW MAY Restructure Submittals

Looks like some things are moving for some people. I finally got into the NACA website this morning and it stated that and offer was received by my servicer. However, trying to contact NACA isn't that easy any longer either. I called the 888 number, and was told the wait was 170 minutes. I did submit an email as per their request...but there are no phone appointments availble until after the first week in October. I'm assuming since I went through NACA, BOA wont tell me anything anyway? Not sure...anyone have any ideas? I don't want to miss any deadlines....

Re: NACA/CW MAY Restructure Submittals

rtajl,
I was on hold for naca for over 2 hours. Seems like a lot of us are getting false alarm on our status update. They said there was nothing in except an update from BOA on 09/21/09 that they were still reviewing me. I have a friend who works at naca. He told me the same thing this morning. It doesn't get any wierder than this. The rep said it could be a screw up by their website. She said they have been having some computer problems the past two days. My status had changed last night to proposal received from servicer. My hope went up but they are back down again now. I called BOA and they said same thing they say to all us. call naca.Messed up indeed.

Re: NACA/CW MAY Restructure Submittals

Priscilla,
that is a bit discouraging. I was hopeful as I had emailed Barbara D's office a few weeks ago and spoke to 2 different people at BOA who assured me that my file had been sitting but they had reviewed it and sent it on to the investor (Fannie Mae) for approval. I will continue to seek info from NACA just in case...but thanks for the heads up at least it wont come as a shock should it just be a website glitch...(that's a big glitch by the way)!

Re: NACA/CW MAY Restructure Submittals

Well I got an update! My modification was submitted on May 21st...I have had 3 foreclosure dates which have been postponed...with another scheduled for October 6th. Yesterday afternoon I received a call from NACA. CW/BOA sent a proposal back finally. They are offering 3% for the first year, 4% for the second year and then 5% for the remainder of the loan. I know there are other offers people recieved along the way, but bringing my monthly payment down for a year over 900 a month? I'll take it......they are supposed to be sending the fedex paperwork out for me to sign.....I THINK this is almost over. I have to thank everyone here for sharing their stories.....encouragement and just the knowledge that I wasn't alone and people were going through the same hardships and concerns....now I'll just await the paperwork....

Re: NACA/CW MAY Restructure Submittals

After waiting so many months for NACA, BOA contacted me yesterday and offered me 3% I/O for 5 years and after that 5% for the life of loan. I won't be completely sure of all this until I see the paperwork. I think Im going to take this offer as I have heard nothing from NACA and at least BOA is tring to work with me. What does everyone else think?

Re: NACA/CW MAY Restructure Submittals

3% interest only for five years and then 5% for the life of the loan? So just how much does that actually reduce your payments? Is it something you can afford? I'd call NACA. Kevin Winn 617-250-6222 extension 1254 and leave a message and he will call you back usually within 24 hrs and you can go over it with him. I'm worried about the interest only part.
