After the email though, BofA has called me two or three times saying they are assigning a negotiator and will be updating NACA soon! Hopefully I get a visit from Fedex soon myself! I just want it all to be over with so I can get on with my life. When this is done, I gotta start fighting HSBC on my 2nd! |

Naca neg said to followup with her in one week, which I did, but she never responded back. Even though I can log into cw online, I can't see any account details as of this week. Hoping this means some updates are being made on the positive side! Called naca earlier this week and they say there is still no updates from cw. |

Our file was submitted in March and I emailed today. Two hours later, CW called and said that our file should be processed in the next couple of days instead of just reviewing. If your file is still being reviewed, then you will be stuck in CW purgatory. |

I received a call right away and was told a "VIP Negotiator" would make my file 'top priority'. Come to find out, if you agree to let the Office of the Prez assist you, they will cancel your NACA file. I had that happen to me and a few others did, too. Please be careful when dealing with Office of the Prez, if you are working with NACA. My file is now back with the Advocacy Dept. and they are reviewing it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I am very discouraged. |

They should be telling people they cannot help them if they are still wanting to work thru NACA. I've been trying to let as many people as possible know, so they don't fall for it.... Best of luck to you! |

Called this week to NACA and was told they were now being reviewed by the CW negotiator. Our in vestor is Freddie Mac. I though they were supposed to be working with people. Even NACA told us it was good that they were our investor since they would be easier to work with, Yeah right. |

Have worked out temp deals with one, lucky to have acct protection on 3. Have three cards tell us we don't qualify for a hardship because we don't have ENOUGH income to get a hardship, so we need to pay the past due (huh?) But last month they took a $50 payment to get me started on a hardship plan, and were supposed to call with the amount of the hardship payment. What liars. I could have used that money to pay on my utilities. |

Last activity was my workout page update several days ago. When Julie called from BOA last week, she said maybe some news by the end of the month. OK....so I wait. Also late on cc cards. I started a debt management program so 3 cards will be covered under that. The other two are very small balances and I'll pay those off in the near future. Right now I am focused on getting the BOA mod, dealing with late payments on the cars, and finding a better paying job. I feel thats about the most I can deal with!!!!.....right now anyway. Cobra |

Melissa from the office of the pres called me last Tuesday to let me know my negotiator was sending the proposal to Fannie Mae and that I could call her back in 10 days for an update. Maybe you just got a knucklehead in the Office of the President! |

I will have to call on Tuesday to check. Congrats on getting progress. I hope that you get your modification approved. |

They said you cannot work with both departments. So, please be careful. |

I clearly stated in the email that I was currently going through NACA and that I intended to continue going through NACA as I feel they have the only real solutions. Part of my email outlined CW/BofA lack of response to NACA and that I wanted to know that my restructure had not fallen through the cracks. (It had). I believe if it is communicated in writing that you are using NACA and intend to continue using NACA, there should be no problems. After my phone calls received due to the email, NACA was sent an update and my mod is in processing and forwarded to management. Prior to that it was sitting there not even being looked at. |

However, Melissa from the office of the President (aka Executive department and Customer Relations Home Retention) has called me without my prompting and initially told me she would be overseeing the progress on my account and like David verified no one had looked at my file for over 60 days after NACA sent it. She also called me on the 19th to tell me that my negotiator, whom I have known about since April 15th and is one of the folks who works directly with NACA, was forwarding my proposal to my investor Fannie Mae. Melissa reitterated that I would need to follow up with NACA in 7-10 days because she could not discuss the details of my proposal BUT that if NACA had no new update for me at that time to contact her and she would give me a status. I will be cautious but I am starting to fear that NACA is so overwhelmed with the amount of files they are dealing with that mine has fallen through the cracks with them. I get very frustrated when I contact NACA and am told to call back in 30-45 days that there are no changes. I know I cannot look a gift horse in the mouth but I am starting to get scared, very scared, that this is not going to happen for me. As I have mentioned in my own post I have stopped paying on $55K worth of unsecured debt in January and these creditors are breathing down my back and when the 180 day mark of no payments arrive these accounts are open to collections and judgements and things will get entirely ugly. I cannot risk a garnishment of any kind. I just wish so badly for a mod to go through so that I can finalize a mod on my second with National City and then file bk on the unsecured debt. In 2007 when I refinanced my home (been in for 12 years) my payments were only 26% of my gross income. Today they are at almost 60%. Auto sales in Michigan are in the tank but what am I going to do after 22 years in this business....sell real estate or become a mortgage consultant?? LOL, if I don't I swear I will break down and cry. I even returned my GMAC lease vehicle 12 months early (yes, they are looking for their money too) and am now driving a ten year old vehicle. My 15 year old son and I took it in to have an oil change done and to find out why the A/C is not blowing cold after a techinician at my dealer re-charged it but didn't have the necessary computer chip to reset the codes to make the A/C work. I was told it had a bad sensor and would run somewhere in the neighborhood of $200 to be fixed, after paying $100 for the oil change and diagnosis. You know what? I have never felt more broke in my whole life as I did at that counter with my son looking on. I told the guy I would need to be back...I need to feed my family this month I can live without A/C in my car. Everyone have a blessed weekend and wonderful Memorial Day. |

We are behind on cc also, had one card tell me I can't apply for hardship because we don't have enough money to qualify. Husband finally got check from his last jobs small 401k , just over 2k, not much but we paid utility bills and we have one car that has been sitting in driveway because it needs brake pads and one other small part, didn't have the money to fix. so we will get the parts now and he can repair. Our cars are 9 and 10 years old, but stupidly we took out a secured loan with American General Finance and cannot change ins. to plpd. NACA just keeps telling us to call back every 2 weeks, we are under review, but no answer as to how much longer. J-nice, go to the parade tomorrow and just sit back relax and try to forget about it all. That is what we are going to do. Sit along Jefferson and enjoy the beautiful day. We have to take some time to just enjoy life. there are enough days to stress. If we don't we will lose our minds. Enjoy the weekend! |

I have even coined a phrase..."Dancing at the Check N Go". I have to "dance with creditors and have to go get cash advances somestimes!! So I'm dancing at the check and go! Please hang in there with me! I am in the same boat as you. I am working in a industry that for the past 16 years has been good to me and my family, but beginning in 2006 things changed as the federal government regulations changed and now I am making half of what I did before. May have to let one of the cars go back to car loan company soon. I need the mod in order to continue staying in my home. Monday I will be thanking God for me being so lucky. My son came home wounded from Iraq back in 2006. Some did not come home at all. I also lost some good friends that I served with in Vietnam in 1967 and 68. So... I feel lucky. You hug your son and forget this stuff for the rest of the weekend. I'm trying to as well. Not sure if I can but at least I have made friends here on this forum. So...we are lucky even if we have these problems to deal with. Hang in there! We will get through this together. Regards, Cobra |
