NACA/CW April Restructure Submittals - Loan Modification Forum

I thought I would start a new thread for those of us who had a NACA restructure submitted in April.

When was your restructure submitted to <ACRONYM title="Countrywide Home Loans">CW? </ACRONYM>What is your latest update from NACA/<ACRONYM title="Countrywide Home Loans">CW</ACRONYM>? And any other helpful info regarding your wait and communications with <ACRONYM title="Countrywide Home Loans">CW</ACRONYM>.

Mine was submitted on April 13th.
Was lucky enough to have an online NACA chat session on 4/29 and no updates.

My restructure plan was submitted 4-8.
Called NACA almost daily since, but no word.
NACA sent email to CW/BOA 4-28 to check. No reply yet
I wrote the President of Home Loan Div for BOA on 5-4. no reply yet.

Proposal Submitted April 15th
Have had no contact with CW/BofA or NACA
Was told to wait for 30-45 days by NACA and after seeing the posts here will most likely wait the 45 to check with NACA as it seems they are taking longer

Hang in t here guys. Submitted 1/26 still waiting for CW to respond. Remember it can take up to 120 days. NACA tells us to call every 1 to 2 weeks now. The waiting and not knowing is the hardest, but they tell me it takes time for them to do their job. Easy for them to say I know, when they are not on our end. But from what I see here, they seem to get the job done. Good Luck

our mod was sent in to CW around April 6 by NACA. they told us to call back at the end of the month. we called today and nothing from CW yet. NACA said to call back in 2 weeks. we received a foreclosure notice but no sale date yet but i am so nervous and scared so we called a lawyer and started chapter 13 before we receive a foreclosure date until NACA comes back with something. I also lost my second job but don't know if i should call NACA to tell them because that might set us back even further. everything is becoming so confusing!!!

We were considering CH13 as a last option as well. The good was the date was postponed; the bad was we paid $50 for the debt counseling that has to take place before filing and paid Ch13 attorney $300 just in case we couldn't get it stopped because we wanted him to have our paperwork ready to file; well we told him we got it postponed and we didn't need to file Ch13 and now he won't give us our money back! You know that saying....you live and learn!

NACA submitted my proposal on 4/17/09. Counselor said call in 30 days for an update and that the timeline from submission of proposal to learning if accepted was now 60-90 days? I have not called NACA yet, will wait the 30 days. I haven't called CW since mid February when I called to tell them their 3 loan mods were totally unacceptable! I started this process the first week of October 2008 (I was trying to be proactive!). Glad I found this site or I would have never known about NACA. Hoping it was a good omen..

NACA submitted docs to countrywide on 04/28.
Checked status at CW and a recording told me to not call until after 05/27. It's stating that I'm in a modification process. News to me. I don't remember applying after the fourth mod was denied due to financials or docs not being received on time, no it was they never got my faxes...YEAH..No one seems to know at CW but reassures me we all fine.
I have not called NACA it's been a week. I'm not calling yet. They said two weeks.
I started sending love letter to my local/state reps and someone listened to me. i have a meeting and I dont care if anything happens, I will have a chance to educate someone of this nightmare and maybe help someone.
I read on here everything that needs to be done or is being done thanks to all of you and the forum...It is so exciting to hear others success'
I think we got a lot of waiting to do.
I decided that I dont want to be CW prisoner with worry.

Naca submitted for us 4/13. CW said they didn't receive anything from Naca. Got mad, sent out some emails to CW people and actually got responses. Got a call from a guy on Friday that informed me that Naca didn't send over any income or bank statements and told me to fax them directly to him. Naca said that's fine and faxed over yesterday morning. Sent out more emails this weekend and rec'd a response on a saturday..WOW! and got a follow up phone call from the same guy yesterday reassuring me that we will be taken care of and gave me his contact info in case I have any concerns. He said our foreclosure process is in a holding pattern and not to worry about the sheriff knocking on our door. Oh yea, we're 4 months behind.

Hey Rumor,
That is so good the same guy called you twice, and with positive information and some type of support. Sorry but the sheriff joke and knocking at your door IS NOT THAT FUNNY. I hope "that guy" who says "no worries" is correct. I am angry. CW is something.

I know..it's really good that I got their attention somehow. I'm honestly surprised that they even responded must less trying to be helpful. I've dealt with anything but helpful people at CW for the past 4 months. I didn't think it was funny either because that's honestly my worst fear and it scares me to death. I saw it happen to some of my neighbors a few weeks ago and it freaked me out.

Aww man so sad...Ive been a busy bee since last July when CW informed me to stop sending money and put in saving for once loan mod goes thru. It was not too fun. I fell for it longer than I wish but being my lender, and all. I did alot of research here andafter almost throwing money away for atty or mod co twice i finally just completed NACA. Rumor dont make yourself sick over it, no ones going there and before any sheriff comes ur gonna have a good idea. Four months is nothing. Hang in there and try not to worry

Rumor,

Where did you find the email addresses for people at CW? NACA submitted our file back on 1/29 and still nothing. We have an auction date in June. I feel like we have slipped thru the cracks and there is no help available anywhere for us. I have contacted my state senators but they have not been any help. So, anyone who can lead me in the right direction as to who to contact, I would be very appreciative.

I have been trying since the end of January with CW to get a loan mod. April 1 we finally got assinged a negotiator. I also started with NACA end of March. CW negotiator called me today, they are offering payment from 747.90 and maturity date of 1/2034 to change it to 997.90 and maturity date of 5/2037 and not changing my interest rate of 7%. I do not think this is a fair offer. all they did is take the past due and put it at the end, also they want 5K up front for the f/c fees that they got in april when they went and got a sale date while we were trying to get a mod. we have a sale date of 6/24 and they will not stop it till we send in the papers and the 5k. I am waiting online to talk to naca. I just don't know what to do. Take thedeal and suffer more or ignore it and pray we don't loose the house?

Helpsave,

I basically searched online for BW/BofA officers, took their names and put them in email format. Some went thru, some didn't but the ones that went thru got me a response. Do you have any updates on your Naca file? Ours was submitted on 4/13 and I've been calling for regular updates and the advocacy dept told me today that there are emails going back and forth regarding our file. I hope they're positive emails..

like, give her 1% interest and CW saying, ok, here you go

today is 30 days since NACA submitted our file(submitted April 6),so i'm actually on hold(caller #87)with NACA right now to see if they have any updates.

Thanks, Rumor. I will try that. I am so frustrated.

No updates on our NACA file. I did somehow get the attention of someone from the Exec Team, but once he read in my file that we are working with NACA, he said he couldn't really assist since that is up to the Advocacy Dept. I honestly think our file has slipped thru the cracks somehow. I don't think anyone with the Advocacy Dept has even read it.

Finally got through and the NACA rep said they had no response from CW so they were going to e-mail them for an update,so to call back in 2-3 weeks!!!

I called the Advocacy Dept yesterday and they will not provide me with any update since there's a note in their system that I am working with NACA. It seems like that Rep. was recording our conversation. It sounded weird. I hope I did not mess up by calling CW.

Naca submitted our file on 4/16. Was told to call back May 16th to check status. This month we are not making our payment as we cannot afford it. I emailed BoA executives( with copy to Naca and our govenor) last friday saying to please work with Naca promptly and we got a call back the same day. He said they have our file, and are reviewing it. He told me to be patient, that they have a good working relationship with Naca, and he gave me his contact info if i have any questions, even though we should be dealing with Naca for status updates.

We submitted on the 15th and have had no correspondence from them. We are 2 almost 3 months behind now and it surprises me that they have not been making the collection calls. I'm grateful for that. Good to hear that they seem receptive to your working with NACA. Hopefully we all hear from them soon and they are positive responses.

How do you confirm the date that your file was submitted? Is there someplace you can look and verify that it has been sent?

The counselor verbally told me that it was submitted and right after he submitted our status changed online to submitted.
