Re: Questions and Confusion/NACA One more thing - Since NACA hasn't submitted anything for us yet, should we call Bank of America? NACA has stated to me that because of our low fixed income, they are not sure they can help us. Bank of America might be an exercise in futility too.

Re: Questions and Confusion/NACA I agree with hoping4change. I had my final phone appointment with them this morning (it was well over an hour long). She was VERY helpful...we went line item by line item through my expenses. She changed the amount I was paying for Cable/Internet..and advised that I need to make it look like I'm saving money each month...which I had already cancelled HBO, sports package etc. the goal is to make it look like you are doing everything in your power (which we are of course) to CW/BOA. My application forms are now complete. While we were on the phone, she requested a few more things which I was able to access online and in turn email to her so she could update the file asap. Since I have a sale date, she said the file was to be expedited (at least on their side I'm sure..

Re: Questions and Confusion/NACA At this point, now, I don't think we will be able to continue with NACA. We just found out that we will not be able to get the rest of the information they need to them (only two more items). We have a call scheduled with them tomorrow at 11:00 AM. We probably won't take it. I hope everything works out for everyone else here. You have been a big help. Thanks.

Re: Questions and Confusion/NACA gray517 - Well, I was able to finally get the two items I needed - even though it was like pulling teeth. They were the declarations page of our homeowner's insurance and property tax bill. I won't go into detail about how I got them - your eyes would probably glaze over, but get them I did. Now, I need to call Bank of America to let them know about going through NACA, etc. How much more fun can you have on a Friday afternoon? Have a great weekend and holiday!

Re: Questions and Confusion/NACA FedUp02 glad you got everything to naca, the reason I asked was I have many years experience in the arena as Title examiner, closer and loan processor and have several websites available to me for things like official records docs, statutes, laws and tax information for most of the 50 states, I was going to try and help you get your tax bill but i see from your post (lol) that you got it, good luck with Naca.

Re: Questions and Confusion/NACA When I called Bank of America on Friday, I got someone from India (of course - why in the world would I want to talk to someone in the US?). She sounded pleasant. When she told me her name it sounded like Algahoallawah which I wrote down as best I could. Then I thought I'd better ask her to spell it for me after our conversation. "B-e-t-t-y." Yeah. So, anyway, hopefully she noted the call.

Re: Questions and Confusion/NACA I want to work there, you get paid to not know anything about how to do your job, you get paid to tell people no or I don't know and you get paid to either be an idiot or at least act like one, with benefits too!

BOA should just use thier automated system for this; Press 1 if you want to hear why your modification was denied Press 2 to be told to rent out a room instead of asking for a modification. Press 3 to be transferred to any random department in India Press 4 to hear a message to call back in two weeks. The list can go on and on......... | |

Re: Questions and Confusion/NACA LOL Thanks for the laughs everyone. Just thought I would mention that I returned the calls to B of A last Thursday and got a really nice and friendly (yes, I did at first think I may have gotten a wrong number) man named Mr. Wimbrey. I told him about our working with NACA, etc. and he asked me for the names of the people I have spoken to and also asked for NACA's telephone number. I wasn't sure about that, but gave him the information. This guy kind of dumbfounded me - I mean, I guess it was a positive call? What do you make of this? Possible improvement with Bank of America? I don't know. My previous experiences with them was like all of yours. What's up with this?

Re: Questions and Confusion/NACA Hi Evan, I did get his name, no first name, just Mr. Wimbrey in the Foreclosure Dept. The number I reached him at was 800-669-0102. Unfortunately, I did not get an extension number. Didn't think of that until I hung up of course. So, I guess you might be able to ask for him personally. If I have to call again, I might try.

Re: Questions and Confusion/NACA Geeze - I didn't realize that it had been that long since I last posted. At this time, our package is still in "Pending" with NACA. Hopefully, it will be submitted soon. We also today, Saturday, received seven, count 'em, seven certified letters from B of A's attorneys regarding our account being in default. Two even said that they and B of A want to help us keep our home. Hmm, really?

Re: Questions and Confusion/NACA They gave us a pretty good lecturing about our expenses as well. While they had a point in some areas, I tried to explain to them that we used to make a lot of money and could afford these things (nice cars) but now we don't anymore and are stuck with the payments. They were like, you need to get rid of those cars. I explained to them that I'd been paying them for four years, they're almost payed off - why would I sell them now? I've since almost payed one off and refinanced the other but they didn't understand that logic and thought I should just dump them. Annoying. They also gave me SH** about my grocery/food budget (200 a week for family of three). I was like OK, I guess I could get that down but don't make me feel like an AHO** for feeding my family. I live in Los Angeles where food expenses are very high. Especially nowadays. They pretty much shamed me and my wife.

Food is not just high in LA, I live in SW Florida and my grocery bill for family of 3 is usually $200-$300 a week (and that is not counting cleaning stuff) don't buy steak, only buy meat that is on sale that week and several of our meals a week are chicken nuggets and mac & cheese. Food costs are outrageous in 3/4 of the country. Gas (if you don't have public transit) electricity and food are essentials so companies can naturally make a ton of money off these things we can't live without. | |

Re: Questions and Confusion/NACA Just to jump in quickly...Do you know that I calculated our heating and electricity costs, just what we paid this year and it came up to almost $1300 for January thru May! It just goes up every year and we are are really careful about how high the heat is and lights being on but you can't be too much with little ones in the house and you obviously can't go without heat.
